Anybody else have a man crush on him.... Of course in a non Elton johnish way. Strictly football love.

Seriously though I really like the idea of either trading back and snagging him or just simply taking him at 9.

He's got length, size speed and everything u want and need from an elite corner. Could plug him in cb2 right away. And gamble shortly will be declining. Not that I want him to but most comers don't last as long as Champ bailey. And if hogan turns out to be a stud. We could have one of the top cb tandems for 10 years. Not to mention Darius butler who I thought did a outstanding job for the short length of time he had to learn the defense.

But anyway just wanted to see who's on the Gilmore wagon.

Oh I'm still kinda on the cox train too so yeah don't tell koolkatluke

Our best bets at this point are Cox and Gilmore. I think it comes down to who we need the most and the division we play in.

I would take CB then DT rather than DT then CB. I think an elite CB will do us more good against Ryan/Brees than a good DT

Kiper wrote a week ago:

Another week without major changes at the top, where the two quarterbacks we've been talking about for months are effectively holding things down, just as they will up until draft day. Two of the bigger movers this week played together last season. Melvin Ingram continues to rise as a versatile pass-rusher, and could easily go as high as No. 7 overall. Elsewhere, cornerback Stephon Gilmore has risen enough where I can see him as the No. 2 corner taken, perhaps even in the top 10.

Passing League

QB's and WR's get drafted and paid like they are gold

DE's and CB's get drafted and paid like they are gold

All about passing and stopping the pass.

Remember Foxball, run and stop the run. Thing have changed a lot in the last 15 years

I will probably get more pissed about drafting Gilmore at 9 than anyone else. We have a board full of USC fans, not one of them wanted Gilmore in the top 10 until maybe 2 weeks ago. With people watching every game he played during his career, I would like to think we would have heard his name mentioned before Mayock said he is good. CBS has him rated as 19th best player, Scouts Inc has him rated as 19th best player, NFL top 100 has him at 25.

And for drafting CBs like they are gold, here is the last 5 drafts

2007 - 0 in top 10

2008 - 0 in top 10

2009 - 0 in top 10

2010 - 1 in top 10

2011 - 1 in top 10

I watch a lot of SEC football, and this guy never made me think he was a first round pick. I honestly was more impressed with Brandon Boykin from UGA.

Then again, this would immediately fill our biggest hole IMO.

I'd rather grab a CB in the second.

That's because he is a second rounder. If we selected Gilmore with our first pick it would set this team back another year or two.

The only reason Gilmore continues to be mentioned is because the amount of USC fans on this forum. Pleas explain to me how Gilmore is all of the sudden being mentioned as our first pick when he was nothing but a 2nd-3rd prospect a month ago.

This is exactly what I had said in another thread. Why now? Nothing has changed since the end of the CFB season. He is not top 10 talent.

Gilmore has never at any point this offseason been less than a late first round pick. We only had people ignore him because he was from USC, while they screamed about much lesser prospects like Hosley and Minnifield. Please don't group in your ignorance of a certain prospect as being indiciative of the board as a whole, it's quite offense.

"Zomg! I didn't even know about this guy until Mike Mayock started talking about him!! He can't be good!!"

Everyone knew about him and no one wanted him in the first
