Was on Cowherd at lunch, kind of seems on the fence about the Saints; thinks if Brees is in the same form they'll be able to repeat last year's performance.... BUT he said that the NFC South is going to be a tough division this year.

Said IF the Panthers hit on their pick and shore up the defense they're going to be very formidable. Stopped short of saying we're the favorite but seemed like he wanted to say that. Maybe 11-5 or 12-4 aren't insane to think about people

Just waiting for somebody anybody..any one talking head to be ballzy enough to say it on TV. That they really think we will win the Division.

It's gonna be tough this year, no doubt, but we have an opportunity to keep up the momentum that we built on in the ladder portion of last season and make a statement in the first 5 weeks prior to our week 6 bye.

I would rather not be talked about. Nobody knows, from today who will win the division. Talk to them in January and we'll see.

that way if you fail then know one really cares.

i can't see any other benefit to people not talking about expecting a lot from the panthers.

the bar has been raised. people will talk and they should and it puts extra needed pressure on the team to succeed.

the days of the panthers being an anonymous team is nearing/has neared it's end. if you want that to happen you've got the wrong QB.

the better this team becomes and the more success this team has, the more they will talk about them. you can't have one without the other.

there's been far too much "flying under the radar" in carolina. it's the team no one has expected to do much because they haven't been able to do much. a team should only ever be "under the radar" for a year at most. more than that and they are just an underachieving disappointment of a team.

i want everyone talking about this team and their QB. i want these guys to be the one that everyone is gunning for and who everyone is hating on because of what they can do. i want this team to be the best and i want them to know it. i want the world to know it. i'm wanting a dynasty that's going to dominate for the next 10 years. would you rather have that or a team that no one is talking about? you can't have both.

for me...i'm going to take the team that is winning and everyone is talking about.
