I see a season very similar to 2008 unfolding. Yes, we have a killer schedule. But we are a better team from a personnel standpoint. And I don't think we can overstate the importance of keeping our starters intact. I doubt there will be many adjustments from a defensive standpoint - in terms of scheme that is, with Meeks coming in. If anything, he'll work with position coaches to adjust the games of individual players. I can't see Fox allowing any significant schematic adjustments, except for certain game situations in which Meeks will want to get in more Cover.

I think we can definitely make a run at going undefeated at home again. You always lose a game you don't expect. but you win some too. I have a feeling that we'll take down the Giants in New York. Last year I predicted 10-6 or 11-5. This year I'm going with 11-5 or 12-4. NFC South champions again. It should be a battle with Atlanta, but I think the season will play itself out very similar to last year. Call me jaded or a homer or whatever, but I think it's there. I think this team knows how to win and I think it believes in itself. That confidence goes a long way. I know that history points to a 7-9 or 8-8 season, but these trends are just coincidence. Anyone that believes there's some kind of causal relationship there (just like the NFC South worst to first trend) is delusional.

Marshall will be solid in a cover 2 defense. Our corners won't get burned. Our defense will be top 10-15, and with our run game that is all that is needed.

Are you a Panthers fan or a Miami fan?

Just paying homage to the team that took White.

MArshall got durned plenty of times when he was the #2 CB. Heck I hope we go 13-3. But everything is tell me we are going to come out slow on deense and that will bring us alot of loses at the beginning. Then we start gelling and go on a win streak but the end of the season will be tough. We always talk every season that this area will be the weakness and once the season start it is something else that falls off. Last year we was worried about the run game. But it was the secondary and dline that was the problems. This year its the dline and CB's. But it will probably be our QB and OL this year (injuries). But to think we will go 13-3 just doesnt seem logical.

as of right now

7-9

tough schedule

mediocre QB who fails under pressure

more d schemes keying on our run game

too thin at OL

unsure if Peppers will be a positive or negative in the locker room and on the field

But we will win 7 based on the tenacity of the run game, Smitty's ability to make plays, the potential for the return game with our talent on the roster, new talent coming in, and the scrambling of teams trying to get away from wedge-busting mentalities. Kasay will win at least two games for us. Hilee Taylor will score a defensive TD.

Dude. He will be lucky to see playing time this year. Substitute him for Brown and you may very well be correct.

I'm looking at 9-7.

Not really a break at all in the schedule.

Early bye, Tough Road games, Gotta get more line depth.

Something magical happens along the Dline and the Oline depth wise, and I will add A win.

Good news is the Whole NFCSouth has a tough row to hoe this year.

The 2 NFC games that are different could really determine who wins the NFC South.

With what Atlanta has done they are my favorite to win the South.

They had a good draft, and 2 solid FA pickups.

Here is the thing tho, Turner shouldn't be able to produce this year like he did last if the past is any indicator.

Fiz posted a article awhile back about backs with over 300 carries in a season.

EVERY single one of them regressed a significant amount the following year, and a good bit never recovered.

Without Turner powering that offense the Falcons could be very 1 dimensional very quick.

Their D also still needs players.

Atlanta will take a step back this season. I think NOLA has a chance to to take the South if they stay healthy and get better production from their defense. Tampa is a wild card, they could finish last but I could also see them winning the South as well with their new additions and culture.

I see him getting this dropping into coverage in relief of somebody late in a game, maybe when we are getting beaten like a drum. I do not think he will see considerable time but I do see him getting more than last year. A little birdie tells me he has bulked a bit without losing speed. Hilee is not worthy of a huge discussion though and I realize my prediction is a long shot.

We are gonna go 4-12 this year because our front office never listens to us fans who know everything about football, our coach only plays old below average players and our team has no heart. Did i hit on everything? Oh yeah, our schedule against teams with inflated records is insanely difficult even though I'm failing to take into account the fact that many of those teams got worse over the offseason.

You forgot that as fans we will accept going 4-12 because it's better than 1-15 and that we love mediocrity and so does our front office because they don't make the moves that we suggest.
