Anthony Davis Declares For The Nba Draft!

Recommended Posts

we better get that #1. If we don't, I may honestly just give up and never watch the NBA ever again.

Not me. Ill take Kidd-Gilchrist, Barnes, Beal or Drummond gladly and then take Shabazz Muhammad next season. No need to lose hope. We are going to get a good player regardless. I want Anthony Davis as well, but not getting him aint going to make or break the Bobcats.

this.

I'm not even sold on Davis, anyways. We get a good player this year, and then get another one next year and we're back in the playoff hunt. It's not hard to do in the east. Since we're not able to draw big name free agents, we have to suck for a few years to get some good, young guys in here. MJ and Cho are going about this the right way, and it started last year with our 2011 draft picks (Kemba and Bismack). Those were good picks, and good players that will help us in the future.

Lol!

Walker is an undersized shooting guard and Bismarck has no offensive game. A realistic hope for Bismarck is he is able to come off the bench as a defensive enforcer. The bobcats are the only team in the nba he could start for

Who should we have taken then?

Bismack is a 19 year old kid that's still growing, and learning the game. He will be an excellent defensive enforcer in the coming years, and while I don't think he'll ever be much of an offensive threat, I do believe he'll be able to get us atleast 8-10 ppg in the near future. Kemba needs to be able to be more consistent with his shot...up his fg percentage. He's avg 12 ppg, so he's done well this season and I expect him to get better. He's gotta up his assist numbers, and try to cut down on some of the turnovers but overall he's been solid and really the only pick we could've made at the time of the draft.

It's going to take a few drafts to get this thing right, but the BOBCATS are making the right moves and it started with last years draft.

    • With all the money invested in the offensive line, we really need to hit on some Round 1-3 picks.  We could really use a star receiver or pass rusher on a rookie contract for a few years.
    • I understand everyone being happy but let's try not to turn it into another schoolgirl crush festival. No offense. It isn't slower WRs that cause wild overthrows. They have all kinds of practice. It is his mechanics keeping things under control that allows a more efficient conversion of energy, let's call it, into the throw, that we are seeing.  He was doing it with horrible mechanics and needing to put 100% effort to get the ball that far. That totally fugs your accuracy. There is video of Mahomes and Carr on this site that I have linked with them throwing under control vs all out trying to get the most velocity on a radar gun. It shows exactly what I am saying. I didn't make it up. I have been telling y'all for a year at least. It really is all about the margins with Young and he has to be very attentive to his technique to get the most from what he has. He is doing that now and this is the new 'what he can do'. And this is it, there ain't no more. You decide if that's enough for you I guess. But you are noticing better ball flight and zip I am pretty sure, it comes from there. Again go look at the Buffalo drive in preseason and you will see that same thing you see lately. To do that stuff you have to be willing to stand tall come what may, sometimes. Hopefully you have protection to step up safely but the difference making happens when you stand in there and finish just ahead of a hit.  ..... And btw, the straw that broke the camel's back when Tepper fired Reich, was because he couldn't fix it in a week. One of the last issues that I remember was about Young's footwork. You know, I guess it is normal that 10 weeks into the season someone just realized, or finally accepted, that Young had major fundamentals issues. It took them a lot longer to realize it isn't an overnight fix. And my issues with Young were specifically over this stuff. Major rehab job, you don't pay what we paid for that. Hopefully he is 'fixed' and it 'took' and he doesn't go back into his little safe space of the old mechanics like he did week 1. If he hangs with the new, this is what you are working wth now. We just saw his ceiling.
    • i'm not nearly 100%, but i'm trending that way. He's definitely got me around 75%.
