Rumor: Eagles Interested In Trading Up For Fletcher Cox

You need to stop now and do some research.

Fairley was a 1 year wonder and starter 60 tackles 11.5 sacks 24.5 TKFL his last year

Dareus was a 2 year starter 33 tackles 4.5 sacks 11 tackles for loss his last year

Cox was a 3 year starter with 56 tackles 5.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss in his last year.

All of them were Jr. coming out.

So Cra what makes them better then Cox? Reality is he was a better and Safer Prospect then Dareus and Fairley.

Bc it is more than just looking at a stat sheet. If Fairley, Dareus, and Cox were all in the same draft class......Cox would be at best the 3rd DT off the board.

Coz needs time to develop. We need help now. We can find someone to help us now at 9

What they are saying it is a strong class because it is a deep class but there isn't a bunch of outstanding talent at the top. The fact that they have jockeyed positions and gone back and forth shows that there is no consensus great pick. Cox has moved up the board dramatically but if he were that fantastic he would have been there all along like a Suh. There is no reason we have to take a DT at all in this draft is my point.

what? its like 3-4 DTs projected to go in the 1st round and maybe 5-7 to go in the top 50, but this is not a strong class. who said Cox wasnt the favorite of some teams already, but the media is just now finding out how good he is. im pretty sure scouts and FO men already knew. this team needs the best DL on the board.

I cant wait till the draft is over so dumbass people will start to talk about something else. Prob about how much they hate Hurney again.

and if they don't draft a DT at 9 will you be able to cope with that.....from your posts it doesn't sound like it

Dont worry he will come back with some cherry picked comeback. Nether he nor P55 operate under logic and both dont want any part of it.

Again with the unprovoked personal attacks. Trolling for an argument won't work, I don't stoop to that level. I prefer to use stats, discussion and logic to communicate. Thanks for playing though...

Aren't you talking about it?? So are you including yourself in your own castigation??? Just a little logic for you to ponder......

People seem so hung up on the first round that they mistake a deep class for the number of players at a position who are expected to go in the first round or even the second. This class is deep meaning you can get good value in round 4 or 5 as well as the top 2 rounds. What you are speaking to is that this class doesn't have that many great prospects at the top or the first round. So your theory is reach for those who are there in the first. I say skip this year and go DE, LB, or corner. There is always next year which gives McClain time to develop and see what we have.

If DT were our biggest or only need then go ahead, but it isn't. Unless Rivera is smokescreening, he also said that DT is not a huge need but a pass rush is, which is more likely to happen with Coples or even Ingram than Cox.

usually a deep class is considered a strong class. my theory again is to take the best DL on the board if that is Coples, Ingram, or Cox. he has said he wanted to improve the pass rush, but that could mean he is referring about the inside and not just the outside positions. im not stuck on DT because we do have a lot of bodies their right now, but i am stuck on building this DL which needs a major boost of talent. inside and out.
