It seems to be up for grabs this year. The Mavericks are a long shot to repeat and the Heat have played second fiddle to the Bulls in the East. The Thunder might not be experienced enough and the Lakers might be too old.

My bet is on the Bulls.

My mid season prediction was OKC/MIA. Now I'm leaning LAL/CHI.

Chicago defense is very good and their bench produces. Lakers have been playing good ball with Kobe sidelined, ultimately giving the role players more confidence.

Durant and Westbrook are ready to lead this young team to the top this year. Plus, they're a great defensive unit anchored by Ibaka. It's going to be OKC vs MIA

Chicago should be the favorites, but they have a weird thing going right now after playing so much without Rose. I think the Thunder take it- they have a bunch of talent, and they have the players to match up with anyone. They have the size to go big with Ibaka and Perkins or can play Durant at the 4 if they want to go small, and there is just no way you can stop Westbrook and Durant when they get going. They are still young, so I wouldnt be shocked if they were upset, but I just think their team is constructed better than anyone else
