Charley Casserly's Two Round Mock

Kuech the Sneak

He has us taking

9.Fletcher Cox DT

40.Mychal Kendricks LB

There are some players most people would rather have going after kendricks like Janoris Jenkins, but I do think kendricks would be a good pick with his speed, pass rushing ability, and pass coverage ability. We need to have linebackers who can blitz and pass rush in this scheme

Casserly is worthless. I've never agreed with anything I've heard him say. He was the one who said Cam was just like The Golden Calf of Bristol and Vince Young last year. He did make the right call taking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush, though.

Liking Fletcher Cox more and more, but the 2nd rounder is a bit of a reach. Would rather have a CB or WR.

Kendricks is the fastest LB in the draft.. he is a prototypical Cover linebacker.. would fit perfectly in our scheme. I would love the pick, but it depends on the talent at DE still left on the board. If Chandler Jones, Vinny Curry, Andre Branch, or Nick Perry are still on the board, I'd rather go at the DE and get LB with our 4th and 5th round picks. We need the depth, and I think we take 2 LBs in this draft.

I kind of hoped the Panthers would go after Coby Fleener but they haven't visited with any TEs. They probably figure Shockey is out there if they really need to go that way.

I like Kendricks' speed. Apparently he played MLB for Cal but we would need him to play outside. If he can rush the passer then I say get him. We need linebackers that are a threat to put a lick on the QB.

Forget Janoris Jenkins. The guy is a head case that has shown no signs of changing his behavior. He's not worth a 4th or a 5th or a 7th.

The way I see it we can fill a maximum of two positions on D in this draft. People that think we are gonna start 3-4 rookies on D and be a playoff contender have lost their marbles. Our first two picks will have a chance to start.
