Kirkpatrick Vs. Gilmore

Neither IMO has separated themselves enough to spend a #1 on them.. Jenkins, IMO, is the only CB other than Clairborne worthy of a #1. Even tho Jenkins may be great, I would not take the risk...maybe not even if he's there in the 2nd (which would be hard to pass up).

There will be 2-4 very good CB prospects at our 2nd round pick, which is how I hope the team uses the 2nd round pick..unless Lavonte David, LB from Neb. is there...he will be a beast.

I'm not sure you realize what kind of baggage Jenkins has. Cam had more hypothesized baggage, and people saying his dad wanted money for him to play some place.... Jenkins has DUI's, multiple marijuana charges, terrible interviews with teams, was FIRED by his agent, the list goes on. His baggage is over the top, and I wouldn't want him on our team with so many young guys...... Dre and Gilmore all the way.

Gilmore is such an athlete, he even ran his 40 in .1 seconds faster than Dre at the combine, that's quite a bit. Even though Dre is taller, Gilmore has a higher vert and longer arms. If you are going on pure measurables, Gilmore beats Dre in every aspect of the game. I also like his ball skills more than Dre. They both played in the SEC against top ranked opponents, so its a really tough call, but Gilmore, unquestionably, has better athletic ability.

Gilmore got beat in man coverage multiple times. He's not good enough to come in and be our No. 2 CB. We need a #2 now, not another development.

even if we draft Claiborne, I doubt he'll start over Hogan right away.. we have our #2 at the moment..

I would take Jenkins all day long over all CBs except for Clairborne. Jenkins seems insistent that marijuana use is not a problem. The NFL does not support this position and this makes Jenkins a huge risk.

I'm okay w Gilmore or Dre in the 2nd, but not at 9.

And you know this how? ie Hogan's abilities?

call it a hunch.. but from what I've seen, knowing it'll be 8 more months on a healthy ACL, and the fact that if he is a baller like I expect- he's only getting better..

also, despite a common lack of patience among fans these days, not all CBs come into the league and lite it up. A guy like Claiborne still has to prove he can beat out Hogan, and I don't think that's going to be as easy as some fans might project..
