Why was the most active thread here locked?

If people are trolling ban the trolls. The rebranding possibility is the team's most newsworthy and discussion inducing thing since the draft. What's the point of a Bobcats board where all the threads are about other teams?

It was locked because the mod is trolling and no one will check him.

He is crying because our team is likely rebranding and he represents the .05% of the fanbase that is not open to change. He has no control over the movement pushing for the rebrand, he has no control over the momentum it has gained, he sees that change is imminent, and he has seen that most Bobcats fans do support the name change, so he is choosing to censor what he doesn't like.

I can't wait for MJ to come out and do this... Sh*t is f*cking pathetic.

When people first started wearing the throwback gear I was against it too, but now I'm of the mind that the Hornets brand is too deeply ingrained into the city to really be replaced. I support them but the "Bobcats" would only rally the city with wins, and that's not a good fanbase to me. I honestly think Charlotte's loyalty would be radically different on name alone, as arbitrary or nostalgic as that may be.

The point is it's worth discussing. Look, we're having a conversation!

This forum first and foremost is about the Bobs and the NBA. Bobs havent made a single comment about rebranding, so pardon me if real bball talk supercededes speculation and hope. Its not a coincidence the Hornets fans make few if any other bball related posts and only discuss rebrands. We're talking about fans of a team that dont exist. Anyways your other threead is back open, so you can continue to showcase what horrible disloyal fans you are there.

    • With all the money invested in the offensive line, we really need to hit on some Round 1-3 picks.  We could really use a star receiver or pass rusher on a rookie contract for a few years.
    • I understand everyone being happy but let's try not to turn it into another schoolgirl crush festival. No offense. It isn't slower WRs that cause wild overthrows. They have all kinds of practice. It is his mechanics keeping things under control that allows a more efficient conversion of energy, let's call it, into the throw, that we are seeing.  He was doing it with horrible mechanics and needing to put 100% effort to get the ball that far. That totally fugs your accuracy. There is video of Mahomes and Carr on this site that I have linked with them throwing under control vs all out trying to get the most velocity on a radar gun. It shows exactly what I am saying. I didn't make it up. I have been telling y'all for a year at least. It really is all about the margins with Young and he has to be very attentive to his technique to get the most from what he has. He is doing that now and this is the new 'what he can do'. And this is it, there ain't no more. You decide if that's enough for you I guess. But you are noticing better ball flight and zip I am pretty sure, it comes from there. Again go look at the Buffalo drive in preseason and you will see that same thing you see lately. To do that stuff you have to be willing to stand tall come what may, sometimes. Hopefully you have protection to step up safely but the difference making happens when you stand in there and finish just ahead of a hit.  ..... And btw, the straw that broke the camel's back when Tepper fired Reich, was because he couldn't fix it in a week. One of the last issues that I remember was about Young's footwork. You know, I guess it is normal that 10 weeks into the season someone just realized, or finally accepted, that Young had major fundamentals issues. It took them a lot longer to realize it isn't an overnight fix. And my issues with Young were specifically over this stuff. Major rehab job, you don't pay what we paid for that. Hopefully he is 'fixed' and it 'took' and he doesn't go back into his little safe space of the old mechanics like he did week 1. If he hangs with the new, this is what you are working wth now. We just saw his ceiling.
    • i'm not nearly 100%, but i'm trending that way. He's definitely got me around 75%.
