Bobcats Rebrand Update Thread (Real Charlotte Fans-Censorship Free Edition)

Look man, the people with old money in this city and the people who grew up here do not support the bobcats. It's that simple.

The fanbase of the bobcats consists of:

1. People from out of state like NY, VA, Ohio, etc...who don't TRULY like the bobcats but have adopted them as their second team and really only go to games to see Lebron, Kobe, the Knicks, Cavs, etc.

2. Poor people who get free tickets to the nosebleed sections.

3. People who are from Statesville, Rock Hill, Bum fug Egypt North Carolina who just pull for a professional team so they don't have to watch Law and Order reruns all night. It also gives them a reason to leave their trailer park or poo hole house to visit a beautiful city. A lot of these people can be linked to example #2.

4. Kids in HS or fresh out of HS who have no idea what tradition is. They prob only know who MJ is based on his $200 sneakers and not his once in a lifetime type of basketball game.

lol, sad but true. The franchise was a fail from the start. Noone likes the brand, colors, undersized venue. Oh yea and our team blows and no one wants to play here.

Our team will still "blow" if we rebrand and become the Hornets, and what makes you think players are going to automatically want to play here just because of a new name. Hell, Kobe Bryant didn't wanna play here when we were the Charlotte Hornets. News flash...Charlotte is Charlotte, no matter what you decide to call the team. Majority of these players want to flee to the bigger markets. Charlotte has nothing to offer them

Kobe didn't want to play anywhere except NY and LA, big deal. Plenty of guys will play in a small market if you build a team around them. I'm not saying I want the Hornets back, I just don't like the bobs experience. Anyone whose been to a Bobcats game knows its awful in comparison to what the Hornets games were like. Yea the Hornets never did poo come playoff time but we loved them and at least they were competitive. All Im saying is that rebranding wouldn't be a bad idea. I would feel bad for all the people who spent money on merchandise. We need to do something so that when we do have a core group of players, free agents actually want to come here.

Sadly, I would rather have the Hornets back than this Bobcat franchise. Both are shitty franchises no doubt.
