Agreed. How many times was James Harrison cut? And I think it was the Steelers that cut him like 4 times too, wasn't even a system issue obviously. Sometimes the light just turns on, and sometimes they just need more of a chance to show what they can do than just TC.

I like Kearse and Shirley, and I'd much rather keep one or both of them than Fua, but unless Claiborne falls I still want one of the 3 DTs at #1 (though I'd certainly settle for Coples and hope for Worthy or Still in the 2nd).

Exactly. A rotation of fat guys with Edwards and either Shirley/Kearse would be fine.

If we take a DT I also hope it is Cox...disruptive pass rusher.

hmm Poe could be a double edge sword, yeah hes big, takes up space, and more than 1 blocker but you also kinda want the DT to be able to push blockers back and out of the way so that LB can penetrate and get to the qb. I dunno if Poe can do that.

Measurables are off the charts. But the lack of ANY production against C-USA competition scares the crap out of me.

This is interesting, I thought that Shirley and Kearse did a decent job towards the end of the season. But I would love to have a Kris Jenkins type push up the middle to collaspe the pocket.

There is adequate tape on him. Even many of the draft experts were saying how the game tape just showed absolutely nothing in the way of strong performance.

Fletcher can eat blocks as well.

Truth is he is good as a 1 gap penetrator. Which is a good thing and makes him valuable as a 3 technique. But he is not good at all stuffing the run or standing up to double teams to allow the linebacker to flow to the ball and make tackles. in a year or two he might be much better against the run and double teams but right now I can see why a linebacker would prefer Poe or Brockers. Cox is a pass rusher not a complete player yet.

Welp, Cox is off the list of picks at 9 if he sucks at double teams. Darn, he was the guy I wanted outside of Worthy.

Shirley and Kearse have size, what more do you want? Production?... Both have shown glimpses..

I am with that Stoner dude. We are not drafting DL in the first two rounds. Unless Rivera says other wise.
