I would give Irvin a B, however. Admittedly, It could be my "homerism" showing, but I have seen Irvin make some solid plays, and he was a pretty consistent piece of the Bulldogs defense.

All-in-all, I am optimistic about our D. I think that we upgraded about as best that we could considering the position that we were in. Our defense just got a little more athletic and prone to making big plays. It bodes well for the future, especially when our guys have the opportunity to pin their ears back and blitz.

With Pep, I can really see our squad putting the opposition (esp. the QB) in a vice. Hmm? The Vice Squad.
