How Out Of Line Am I By Suggesting That The Fix Is In On The #1 Pick?

Also before the selection show members of the media and partners from the accounting firm of Ernst & Young witnesses the whole process. In this world today where anyone who breaks a story makes $$$ from the story it would be very hard to keep all of these media members on board with the rigging of the draft without saying a word.

Also E&Y is a big 4 accounting firm, and being a public account I know the sacrifice that it would take at a firm of that size to reach partner level. Rigging a draft or being compliant in it is a federal crime... I doubt these men would give up their career, salaries, positions, and future, all for the nba to rig a draft.

It's a good talking point, but far from reality.... When there are 1001 different possible combinations the impossible and crazy can happen... it's the nature of the system....

Like I said we have a greater chance of having the #4 pick than the #1 pick.... 36% to 25 %

If the Bobcats don't get it then there will probably be a huge fuss made and a lot of issues that it will bring up. I mean the Bobcats are the worst team in the history of the nba and one of the worst teams in sports history. I can't even watch them because I am so embarrassed for them.

If they don't get the #1 I am going to raise so much hell over it. Knowing the Bobcats luck they won't even get a top 5 pick

I've never liked the lottery system. The worst team should be given the number 1 pick since they need the pick and the point of the draft is to strengthen the weaker teams.

What is the alternative? The NFL's system? I mean, in the NFL you have teams deliberately blowing the season for the #1 pick. I don't think that's a good thing either.

The main problem I have with the lottery is that you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. And the BIGGER fact remains, since they started this.. only twice has the WORST team gotten the #1 pick. Even it wasn't always, but let's say 80% of the time, that would make it feel more legit but still seemed balanced.

I'm so frustrated with the whole "only 5-10 teams will ever matter in the NBA" thing that if we don't get the #1, I'm going to be really disappointed. I know there are other good players in the draft, but I just hate how the NBA runs some things and the lottery is a huge issue. It wouldn't surprise me if the fix is in honestly. The NBA has always been "iffy" with the ref calls to superstars and teams.

I will say the one bright spot is the Thunder this year. Every fan of a small market/mid market team should be pulling for them.

Who's the last team that tanked for the #1 pick in the NFL? I mean if you watch, the really bad teams just flat out suck. Watch a Cleveland Browns game...they aren't tanking, they just suck.

I'm not usually a tin foil type of guy, and I'm not outright saying "The fix is in!!!" But for some reason, I have this erie feeling that the fix is in for New Orleans to win the lottery. Its not league-owned anymore, but with a big-named owner, and so much invested interest in the team by Stern...idk why, but I feel some type of what about this.

So how stupid/off base am I?

me and my friends have this exact same theory going. It's going to be super fishy if it happens

Anthony Davis is not the end all be all. Im not even convinced he's a franchise guy. As long as we get in the top 3, we're good.

just curious but who would you take at 2 and 3? At this point I favor either MKG or Beal, then Robinson at 4.
