Captain Munnerlyn CB 7th THE USC

Kevin Greene

ive seen him play a couple times, hes really quick and made some big plays at usc. my only concern is hes got some character issues. like someone said before hes a thug. but if he stays outa trouble he could be a pretty good backup and return man, i could see him maybe becoming our nickel back but nothing more than that. he adds good depth though which IMO is all u really expect out of a 7th rounder

Gamecock fan here ...

Captain can flat out play, no question about that in my mind. But ...

If he wants to make it in the NFL, he will have to accept coaching, be ready to work his ass off like never before, and keep his head in the game. Oh, yeah, and leave the thuggery behind. He also needs to sharpen that brain of his, he only managed 14/40 on his Wonderlic. One more thing ... no taking plays off, never again ... those days better be behind him.

Gah, sounds like we just bought a used car from a shady dealer.

If he can do all that, he might start one day. If not, he'll spend a few years with us, drift from team to team at the league minimum salary, and then fade away into obscurity.

I am pleased to see him get picked, I feared he wouldn't be picked by anyone. I hope we're making the right move by showing faith in the guy. The question isn't can he play, but will he?

I've watched him his whole career at SC and the kid can play. He has had some problems with motivation at times. Hes small for the NFL but can cover a receiver anywhere on the field and will lay a lick on somebody. He isn't afraid of contact. He is a pretty good return man, I've seen him turn what looked like no yardage into a long return and he has the speed to take it to the house if he finds a seam. It will be up to the coaches if he makes it in the NFL, he needs direction and discipline but he has plenty of talent
