Why Do Nba Players Act So...

Not necessarily. But people who choose to join the military are doing so on their own accord. This notion they are owed something is laughable. I know people who served in the military that became criminals and fugups later in life. But since they served, PartyAnimal will tell you they are morally superior to TeamUSA and us ungrateful civilians. They put their pants legs on one at atime just like I do. If PartyAnimal really loved his country he wouldnt get off on hating on our athletes who rep us in London this summer. Wonder if he wants us to lose.

I have sacrificed more for my country than you ever will. Fact.

You are a disrespectful piece of poo that has his priorities all fuged up. I don't think that I'm better than anyone else. I merely offered you perspective that someone who complains about not getting played to play few basketball games for the country, doesn't know anything about sacrifice. Fact.

I don't care who you know who served in the military. That's not a representation of everyone in the military by any stretch of the imagination. But then again, you're the type of person that will call everyone else a racist while you spout bigotry of your own all over the place. Then, whenever you get called out for it you will try to take things to a lower level. Then, when you get called out for that you'll end up locking the thread and saying someone else was trolling.

Hey KT, I believe in my country and it's values. I believe so much that I defend my rights and yours. I have been in war zones and in situations that you can never comprehend. When was the last time you felt so strongly about something that you actually sacrificed in that way? Oh that's right, never. Your fat ass sits behind a computer and trolls people for no reason whatsoever. You don't know about true dedication to a cause, belief, or idea.

Criticize me again for what I do. It just shows exactly what kind of character you have.

That's YOU KT. That's not everyone on this forum. Just you along with your disrespect, hypocrisy, and lies. So, I want to make that completely clear.

Party Animal you chose to be in the military no one forced you. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and stop hating on and resenting on fellow Americans that are more patriotic, more successful, and more celebrated than you'll ever be. Has the President ever paid to watch you do your job? I hate people who think the service they chose to do makes them morally superior to other Americans. Sounds pretty un-american to me.

Nobody forced them to play for Team USA. They chose to accept the invitations and if they choose to accept them again, they're doing so on their own accord. A basketball player is not more patriotic than anyone in the service. You're completely stupid for even remotely suggesting that. If you want to make that arguement, I can bring it up to Dwayne Wade himself on twitter. We'll see what he has to say about it because, I'm sure he'll disagree with the bullshit you just spewed all over this forum.

I thought they were technically considered "amateurs" so that's a reason why they weren't paid. I might be off but I feel like I remember that from somewhere.

I learned this in my SMGT class and you are right...

The games were invented to only be played by amateurs however it obviously didn't stay that way. No pay is a result of these players technically speaking being amateurs while they are Olympians.

Then why even have a sports forum? If we should only debate the most important topics perhaps we should delete the Charlotte Bobcats section and replace it with the 'world famine' section.

Also as a tax payer it'd be important to know who was paying them - if they're being paid with tax dollars only a stupid person wouldn't care.

How else would they be paid? Should they end the junior programs? If some third party wants to pay them, I couldn't care less, but if it's going to be destructive to the Olympic program as a whole or if it becomes a tax burden, I certainly care.

Only a stupid person wouldn't realize that everyone is a "tax payer". The income tax isn't the only tax that exists. And only a stupid person would care whether or not they got paid since it's inconsequential to anything else.

Find something better to worry about, or continue proving your stupidity.

I care about the fact that the largest corporations in this country don't pay any taxes and get a refund instead, or the fact that most politicians are bought servants of their corporate masters who write bills for their enrichment only, and who could care less about "the people".

Whether NBA payers got paid to play in the Olympics is the least of any intelligent person's concerns. You probably care more about politicians cheating on their spouses than cheating "the people" by whoring to big oil, PhRMA, insurance, etc.

You don't want to face reality. You'd rather "escape" into a world of delusion and put on a good face during the Olympics and act like the "USA" is so "great" when it can't even guarantee that it's people don't go BANKRUPT if they get cancer or graduate from college $20,000 to $200,000 in debt just to get a degree, like the rest of the developed world can. Even Castro's CUBA does that much on healthcare, and it's no place most want to live.

But you'd rather complain about "NBA players getting paid", like it's sooooo important. It's ancillary. Politicians "sell out" to represent their constituents. NBA players might as well, if you're not going to be as angry about the first one.

So, no, I don't care about athletes getting paid in the Olympics. ANY OF THEM.

"YOU" in this post means "most people".

    • I find it more like now that I have been forced to watch Young so much it isn’t as much of a shock to my senses.   Desensitized they call it.   For real, it just looks normal almost now. Where the first game of 2023 I wasn’t sure what I was looking at it was so out of bounds for NFL type play. I literally couldn’t make sense of what I had seen vs Atlanta that first week.
    • Lynch in SF. Great is subjective but he has done pretty well there.
    • Sure, except Stroud has the ability to stretch the field with deep passes. He did that often last night with ease, but couldn’t connect on many due to being flustered by the defense. BY9 gets flustered and can’t throw screens, let alone even think about any deeper passes. Stroud would’ve changed the franchise and done more with the situation last year. My thought at least.    the hope is that last year showed tepper that he needed to step back from football decisions. There’s a positive in most situations and maybe we’ll see a new tepper in the near future.
