I Remeber Having This Big Debate About Blackmon.

I said that Blackmon while being a good Wr wasn't a elite talent like AJ green and Julio Jones.

Now here is a video of NFLN talking about the same thing. The wr that Blackmon is comp. to were taking later in the 1st round. Him and Floyd are just lucky to come out in a year where there is no elite talent (with production in college) coming out this year but a lot of team in the top 15 need WR.

I don't believe anyone has ever said that the guy was on the level of a AJ Green [Go Dawgs!] or Julio Jones...not that anyone knows. But he is solid at his position and will probably only help the team that drafts him. It's like someone told you before, the problem is that there is really no so-called "elite" talent at any of the positions that we need (IMHO). But, why are you still talking about this? We won't get a chance to draft Blackmon because he'll be off the boards.

I hope that Hurney and company take an open-minded, wait-and-see approach to the draft. If the opportunity presents itself to trade down, that my be the best play, but if we draft at number nine, then I hope that we draft the BPA. If the FO deems that that is Blackmon, then so be it.

I'd argue that Floyd and blackmon are both lucky that the top 15 aren't as strong as most classes. Once ya get past the top two qbs and top tackle, the remaining top players aren't as good as other drafts.

It has become a popular thing now to question Blackmon, almost to the point that he is getting underrated. I said last year before the draft that Blackmon would go in between Green and Jones. That was just my opinion last year and Blackmon didn't do anything this past season that changed my mind.

I will agree that AJ Green is a separate league than Blackmon and Jones. I just happen to like Blackmon better. But that's just my opinion from what I have watched.

Like I said Blackmon is in the range of Nicks and Bowie again that's not bad he is still a 1st round talent. But not top 10 you got to have talent that changes your team. He would be a luxury pick for us and right now we can't afford to make luxury picks.

The only reason he and Floyd are getting Mock so high because there are a couple teams in the top 15 picks that have a desperate need for a wr.

He's right up there with the two guys from last season. People who only pay attention to what the current wave of draft media get easily swayed since very few fans actually watch these guys play.

Blackmon was dominant the past two years...pretty much doubling Green's production

I don't think he's elite in the fact that you can heave it up and expect a completion, like Dalton can with AJ Green. I think he can give a passing game elite production, given the right system.

Saying a player isn't elite because he isn't just like player A or player B means nothing. Alshon Jeffrey may turn out just as good as AJ Green, however we won't know that till the lights are up and the playing starts. It also has to do with the system that is being run, the situation in place, and the individual player. Saying the top 15 is shortsighted at best.
