Smitty Press Conference Video

It so fuggin special to me to get to watch this guy play, he's easily the most intriguing athlete that I ever watched. He would have to be damn near unique as far as ability goes for a 5'9.

I would love to know how fast he would be through the cones drill if you put him through it now or maybe 08' or 09'. That, to me, is the real test for agility speed and explosion for a single exercise. Its a shame we'll never know but I would put 100 bones and my left nut that EightNine would rank 1 on that list. . . that can actually catch and block (since I'm wagering a nut I guess I should be specific with my imaginary bets)

I'm glad he has turned into a family man, he has really matured and is starting to lead by example now a days.

Sounds like his family really loves Carolina, and that makes me love Smitty and his family even more! He always talks about being a LA boy, but i think he has came around to Carolina nicely, like this is where he turned into a man.

He's grown up through the years. You can't hate this guy. He's the type of cat you'd sit next to at a bar and talk sports with. Real cool.

Yeah he came into the team store with his wife and kids. He left them alone so they can look around, and I got a chance to chat with him. What a nice, easy going guy. So approachable and friendly. But I love when it is game time, that fierce competitor in him comes out like a beast. Love Steve Smith to death. His wife and kids are nice as well.

That's awesome. I've never met a panthers player. Not yet at least. If I ever do, I hope it's him.
