Steve Smith has officially signed the contract extension, per Charlie Dayton, #Panthers spokesman.

Smith: "I respect Coach Rivera a lot. He pushes me to grow."

Smith gave credit to the #Panthers coaching staff for making it easy to sign the extension.

Smith also says that his family played a large role in the decision. "Happy wife, happy life."
