Here's the comparison of the new color standards to one from about 10 years ago. The blue is still PMS Process Blue, this is all that matters. The colors didn't change.

From 2012 Logo slick:

From 2000 team color chart:

Couple things I noticed in that chart...The RGB of both are different and CMYK. That might be the difference people are seeing.

The huddle:

*Before changes*

Changes are needed

*when plans are revealed*

GAH!!! I HATE IT!!! WTF!!!

*after plans are released and we actually see it*

I like it a lot better.

The Huddle; we may not like it at first, but give us 3 months and some whiskey and we'll fight you to the death that it's better.

Yeah, the color is noticeably darker when you plug those numbers into an image editing program...

Are those the RGB values? I wonder why it's so much darker... looks off.

Yeah, those are the RGBs.

When you think about it, there ought to be a pronounced difference between 0/124/184 and 0/136/206.

Although when I put in the CMYK numbers, the 2000 color looks darker.

Go figure. A graphics professional I am most certainly not.
