No he won't be. He's too good a player to try to hide on the practice squad. If we try that we'll lose him. So it's not a worthless argument, it's valid. Maybe not in NY, but it is in Carolina...

We had DJ Hackett as a #4 WR and Jones as a return guy. Ryne Robinson can do both, so that gives us an extra spot right there.

I think Goodson will handle much of our return work, leaving us to carry only four receivers. Carter is probably gone.

I'll bet you right now he won't be, we might deactivate him on gameday but we've carried 4 RBs or 2FBs in the past.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet but did you guys check out his Q&A on the panthers' site? He's probably the one who's impressed me the most with answers. He's a real student of the game, watching how the greats in his position play in the NFL. You don't get too many guys like that in college. The best part is that he came out himself and said that Hoover is a guy he's 'admired for years'! A lot of knowledgeable nfl fans don't quite know how good hoov is. I honestly think we have that FB spot locked up for years to come.

That is what I saw. Someone said he could carry the rock. If we have a Fullback that can breakaway. Hoover with moves. This could make us even more potent. We all love Hoover and he will be an all time favorite of the Panthers but moving on is apart of life. But I hope we keep Hoover at least one preferrably 2 more seasons and let the Rook learn from the master.

The one thing I love about this pick was his comment. He knew he was coming to a power running game and he said "IT IS AN HONOR TO COME A BLOCK FOR STEWART AND WILLIAMS" When a man studies the position the way this guy does and is listed as a superb blocker. I am happy as hell about this pick. Maybe even my favorite pick of the day.
