Mike Goodson RB Tex A&M

Mike Goodson, a fourth-round pick (111th overall), said on a conference call that the team told him they'll consider using him as a slot receiver and a kick returner in addition to being a backup behind running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.

Goodson turned pro a year early after being disappointed with his playing time at Texas A&M. However, he said that wasn't the sole reason he left after his junior season. He wasn't used much as a returner in college, but scouts say he has the potential to excel there in the pros.

The Aggies had high hopes for him and Lane with what appeared to be one of the best Olines in the country.

The whole program went bust (as per usual) with Goodsen fizzling, McGee looking constantly lost and Lane being banned from buffets throughout Texas. It wasn't just one player.

For those of you unfamiliar with A & M, think Clemson yet dumber and with more neonazis.

I like this pick a lot. Yeah, there are some concerns about character, but you're not gonna find players with no concerns at this point. The Panthers needed another RB after cutting Goings, and it doesn't hurt one bit that this kid has the versatility to play WR or maybe be another return man.

BTW, why are so many people worried about where a guy is projected? On day two of the draft, it's all about finding role players that fit your schemes, as well as building depth. I think the Panthers are doing that.
