Why did the Panthers give up a top 10 pick next year (est 6-10 / 7-9) to move up in the 2nd round for an undersized DE that probably won't even start on opening day?

I think the point that this uneducated "fan" is trying to make is that 12-4 teams suck. Especially when they lose a crappy cornerback and upgrade at Defensive Coordinator. Good analysis.

You guys need a reality check. The Panthers had a cake schedule last year and basically backed into their 12-4 record. They almost lost to Detroit and Oakland and didn't show up for the Playoff game. This years schedule is brutal and 7-9 is a very likely record. My point is why would you trade a top 10 pick next year for the 43rd and 111th picks this year? I guess only time will prove my point.

Going into last year, we had what was a seemingly brutal schedule as well. Predicting how "difficult" and "strong" a schedule is in April is about as dumb as pissing on an electric fence.
