Draft Rumor: Jets Might Want To Move Up Into The Top Ten For Ingram

The last time we made a deal with the Jets it turned out pretty good. We nabbed Beason.

On the other hand, that was the same year that the Jets got Revis with our pick

I could only see this working if the jets REALLY fall in love with Ingram. Some teams are willing to give up way to much to move up to get a player that they covet. I know its not a perfect comparison, but the redskins gave up 3 first round picks and a 2nd round pick to move up for a guy they absolutely love. Or when the saints traded every pick in 99, and their 1st and 3rd round pick in '00 for Ricky Williams(And that was only to move from 12 to 5). Sometimes teams get a bit crazy when moving up for a guy they really like, that is what we can only hope will happen....

Edit: The Jets are a team I could see making a snap decision like this however. Especially with Ryan at the helm.

Everyone on this thread may be surprises when we take Ingram @9 and KEEP him. He is the most versatile player in the draft and that's what Rivera is looking for. He can play the 7,9 and even 3 technique on 3rd downs, and drop into coverage when we blitz LBs. He can also play OLB and cover TEs. If he's there @9, I'd definitely take him.
