Should have casted Sean Bean and Tom Hanks as the leads. ^_^ Overall it was good. i think the love interest was a little campy but I'm looking forward to it again tonight.

Fwiw, I thought Costner really did a good job in portraying Anse Hatfield. Thats Costner's type of role. Western's, Hillbillies, and baseball players are his thing. Get outside of those types of roles and he struggles.

Btw, Tom Berenger was great.

Those people were hardcore. It was the same type of gun slinggin in the West, but that poo was WV/Kentucky!

Costner was very good in this role. Didn't really care for Paxton, but I am not sure if it was him, or the role he was playing. Mccoy was a rather annoying character. Berenger was great, as was the the guy who played "Bad Frank".

I don't think Devil Hatfield was really a deserter though.
