Inshore Fishing...

Reddrum (slot limit and creel limit) crackdown has really improved the fishing in NC and should do the same for the trout. They had a wierd kill in 2010-2011.

I'm seeing people catching them now though...and should see a resurgence.

from what i understand the weaks aren't nearly as prominent as they used to be... but i hear they cycle counter to blues. Never caught a weak... always wanted to.

The weaks all but disappeared from the Bay along with the Flounder. Hasn't been good in at least 10 years. I remember catching 20 per person with some reaching up to 10 lbs. Now it is more about the blues and stripers in the fall. Anglers say it was the commercial fishing, others say it was the blues and stripers preying on them.

fishing...is that boy thing?? It sounds rather boring honestly

I mean..sure when something actually bites, I get it...reel it in..fight it..RAWR! ..

but what about when it takes hours and hours....and more hours..and then you're hammered..and no fish...

But you get away from it it all...work, nagging spouse, yardwork, etc......it's kind of like golf. It may be frustrating at times but it is a whole lot better then whats waiting for you when you get done.

And you mentioned being hammered while fishing. Oddly enough I have been fishing a thousand or more times in my life. I have drank alcohol more than a couple thousand times in my life, yet I have never done the two at the same time. Drank on the docks after fishing, but not while fishing. Strange.

*DIsclaimer* I think I may have had a beer or two out on the lake on an overnight fishing trip with Zod before but that was it and most likely because he roofied me I am sure.

Why?

Just curious.
