I agree with phan for the most part. Hey, I'm not gonna say he's awesome because we drafted him, but at least I can remain quietly optimistic given our recent success with the draft. The guy is raw, we all know that, give him some time and he can develop. Talk to me again in 3 years.

Not a huge fan of this pick. He was 3rd string to start the season at UGA and won the job because of injuries IIRC. Played consistently for them, but 3rd round is a reach. I feel like if DT was the pick at that spot, there were better kids out there...

I'm in atlanta too. Watched a few games. He looked horrible in the GT game. He looked really good in the auburn and michigan state game. I am really not sure what to make of it. Seems like a "huge upside pick". I hate those.

Well that's why he doesn't need to start right away. I hated those picks too, but then I realised that a lot of those picks actually work. Albert Haynesworth was one of them. The players who both produced and were athletic went in the first round, that's why we have to dig in the other rounds. If he can be a difference maker, I'm down with it.
