Shockey Coming Back?

I have no idea where the love affair with Barnidge has come from he's caught a few deep passes over his 800 year career as a 3rd stringer. I'm not putting much faith in him.

It was because of the situation he was in compared to the situation he is in now. He is and always has been a pass catching TE. Under Fox, he rarely utilized his TEs and if he did it was in the form of blocking. Also he will get to play with Cam compared to Delhomme and Clausen. Nothing guaranteed but he just has the skill set to succeed in this offense.

I don't think we need him, Barnidge is just as good w/o the experience and nastiness. Although I do like that about Shockey, but we can't afford him right now.

just as good? based on what?

are you looking at his wikipedia page for his weight and height?

Nastiness? So I'm sure you don't like Steve Smith?

Does he hold private practice sessions for you? Where did you see that?

the most recent was was prior to the start of the season. Are you saying that you've never seen, at least a video of Barnidge catching a pass or running a route, even under Fox? I think that he's just a good of a catcher as Shockey and it's public record right now that we can't afford Shockey...So whats your point?

Its "Tyrell Sutton Syndrome" all over again. The Huddle takes these low depth chart players that show a spark during training camp and turn them into all pros.
