Beason Lookin Strong

video shows he can cut, run and is plenty explosive without having to worry about his ankle. what else is needed to be considered a full recovery?

It is just a workout. Like I said, any player coming off a major injury could put together a video like that.

What else do we need? Are you serious? How about Beason actually playing football at a high level.

That video doesn't even give you a clue about how he would hang with guys on a NFL field. Also every move he is making is planned and calculated on top of that in those drills.

Correct. Some people just don't want to accept that he is nearly back. Some people want us to waste a 1st round pick on another LB just in case something to beason. What happen if draft a LB in the first and that guy gets injuried in preseason instead. Waste of a 1st don't you think. Bottomline Beason could get hurt again in the same place. But that goes for any play in the NFL. You never know. I faith tho that he will be ok.

It's not just Beason. It's Thomas Davis as well. 2/3 of our starting LBs have major question marks. Our reserves are absolute nobodies. We had better back ups last year and all of them got hurt. I'm not saying draft a LB, but I am saying there is some logic to it.

Not about replacing Beason but about replacing Thomas Davis, if hurt(Beason, Anderson). He is plenty fast to play Lolb as does Clay Matthews(he timed faster).

He is not the pass rusher Clay is but is a poor mans version of him or comparable Demeco Ryans- pre injuries..Curtis Lofton.

- with that said Id rather get Lavonte David in the second with a CB or DT in the first.

Look at the combine numbers. Kuechly was faster than Beason. Not even close.

Beason had a leg injury going into the Combine so I wouldn't used that to help your argument. Until Kuechly becomes a All Pro 3 time pro bowler don't say he is better then beason.

Still you just don't just go out there and use a 1st overall on LB knowing your starter will be back. That is what the FA is for. I'm sure the panthers will look for some good backups once cuts start happening during TC. That is why they are called backups. You don't go out and draft a guy who should be starting and is a first round and just put him as a backup and on the bench. That pick can go to another postion on D that we need help at like CB or DT or even a number 2 WR on offense. Picking a LB with the first would be very wasteful. Don't see it happening.

Ok but we know Beason can play football at the highest level. The only question we have/had is if he could cut, run at full speed and be explosive. If he can do those things then he can play football.

Also not all those moves were planned/calculated. You can see Beason missing the "break" command on one of those drills and is lost for about a half second until he repeats it. He was reacting to directions of a handful of those drills.

Also if we want a LB as insurance for Davis, why not look in later rounds for that? MLB isn't Keuchly's natural position (although I'm sure he can play OLB fine) and we can get some of the best OLB prospects in rounds 2-4. The key here is value. Using a top ten pick for an OLB who may or may not be needed isn't a good value pick.

Dude honestly GTFO here. I am looking and reality and that chance that anything can happen at anytime. But stop been so freaking negative about Beason and his return. Accept the video and just move on. From this point on no one knows what will happen from one day to the next. Accept God himself. So have a little faith in Beason and just root him on.
