Janoris Jenkins "fired By Agent"

Recommended Posts

Some picks just have too much risk for a franchise with as young a group as we have. He would be low low low on my draft board now.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think we're putting together something special at Carolina, and I would hate to risk the budding chemistry with a problem child who's going to be more trouble than he's worth. Call me gun shy, but after the episodes with our wild and crazy cheerleaders, Fred Lane, Kris Jenkins, and Rae Carruth I still prefer to take guys who have their heads in the right place.

I'd probably "Gamble" (see what I did there lol) on Jenkins but there is one scenario that would be kind of interesting and make me slightly nervous.

If the Panthers take Luke Kuechly in the first and in the second Worthy/Still and Jenkins are available at our pick...

Who do you go with?

Note: A draft of Cox and Jenkins in the first two rounds would be something that I'd love to see, I don't think I could bear to see a combination of Coples and Jenkins because that is just a little too much gambling for me.

His skill are elite...or near it...

His off field problems are deeper than most of us know...he does have all the Pac Man Jones redflags...multiple drug tests...tons of baby mommas..he just demonstrates a basic lack of making good decisions..

-this could translate into something worse later down the road..

Id have to pass unless he was in the third fouth round...but he will not be there under any circumstances.

If you got kicked off of Florida, you had to have been a huge problem because the Gator program was a huge challange for Meyer who had to deal with Florida Athletes..drugs, violence...

Id stay away...now on Madden he is on my team...

Thug? Don't just throw out words that you don't know what they mean.

Janoris Jenkins' mentor says CB was behind parting with CAA

"Janoris is getting bashed because he moved on," Cornelio said Saturday in a phone conversation. "Because of his background, yes, (I understand). But that doesn't mean anything here. They didn't want to fire Janoris. They didn't fire Janoris. We told them we were moving on."

Recently, Jenkins hired agent Malik Sharif of Dimensional Sports, Inc., the same agent who now represents New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz. Cornelio said the decision wasn't complicated.

"The only reason we decided to move on is because they're too big," said Cornelio, who is called "C" by his friends. "We weren't getting personal attention, so we decided to move on. That was it. And we told them. We called them professionally and said, 'Hey, we're moving on. We came to the conclusion that we honestly believe a smaller agency that pays us more attention will be better for us.' (Dogra) told us that he understood and he would help in any way he could. At the end of the day, we came to the conclusion that the kid drafts himself by his performance."

Arrests, 4 children by different mothers, sounds like Antonio Cromartie vs 2.0.

Like the talent but that's about it, he is a major character risk.

so having several baby moms =a thug.? he hasnt been arrested in some time, which is why i said he changed.

I don't think I ever referenced him as a thug maybe you can show me were I did?

Having four baby moms makes him very immature and irresponsible, maybe even a bit reprehensible.

I don't think he will end up like pacman but i do think he will have a couple run ins with the law during his career, I see him being a lot like Antonio Cromartie, an immature locker room cancer.

Immature locker room cancer that may be arrested a few more times..= stay away..

This is what Hogan was right? We have the a J Jenkins character concern guy already...these guys have to be an exception not the rule like the Bengals and recently the Lions have done.

I think at CB Butler will step up like he did his rookie season(Beason is in his head) and Hogan has a great camp and takes the two spot... munnerlyn is a 4th cb and special teams guy and its a good secondary..hopefully the FS position is shored up.. And we just have to accept that Godfrey will always seem confused in coverage.

since you quoted my response to the person that called him a thug, i thought you were agreeing with his statement. maybe he is allergic to latex j/k. but seriously his college football coach never knew about the kids and said he carried himself like he was one of the other student athletes. he was never a cancer in the lockeroom any where else so why would he be now?

Having multiple kids with different women is not a crime..it is just a maturity issue and character flaw of someone who is going to be relied on to make great choices.

He has demonstrated that he usually fails when it is time to make the right choice and makes poor decisions that could affect others..teammates, family, coaches.

I am speaking strictly from a maturity standpoint, think about it if you know your likely to be a top draft pick and make millions why wouldn't you wrap it up? He is going to be paying $$$$ in child support.

That said at 40 I think he is worth the chance, the talent is there if he can grow up. I just don't want him at 9.
