WR A.J. Jenkins | Illinois | 6'0" | 190

Believe he'd be a nice pick up in the 4th round, don't see him falling to our spot in the 5th. Don't necessarily think WR is a huge need but a need nonetheless. His quickness and good route running allows him to create separation. Also uses his hands very well. Love receivers that catch the ball with their hands instead of relying on their bodies.

Might wanta fix his height, haha. I thought he was really 6'10 for a second and was like "hell yeah, sign me up."

But no really, I wouldn't mind him.

I'd like Joe Adams more if he's there, but wouldn't mind Jenkins either.

Thanks for the heads up, fixed it.

Quick question... I'm doing a 7 Round NFL Mock Draft again and I'm in the middle of the 5th Round and still haven't put AJ to any team yet. In fact here's the WR's and their rounds

1: Justin Blackmon, Michael Floyd, Kendall Wright, Stephen Hill

2: Rueben Randle, Alshon Jeffery

3: Mohamed Sanu, T.Y. Hilton, Chris Givens, Brian Quick, Juron Criner, Marvin Jones, Nick Toon

4: Tommy Streeter, Greg Childs, Marvin McNutt

5: Joe Adams

Am I wrong for that?

You're not "wrong," it's your opinion. I think Jenkins is definitely a riser in this years draft and at first he wasn't projected to go til like the 5th but now it's looking closer to 3rd/4th. But that's just projections, we all know players fall and rise for no reason.

I'll pass and give Pilares more playing time at receiver and see what he can do. No need to block him with somebody with a similar skill set

They are different receivers really. Pilares is bit more built and is better suited for the slot. Jenkins, while he can play slot, he has the speed to play outside as well. He is quicker and has better hands as well.

Players in the same position don't block players because they have similar skill sets, not sure why that's relevant. The better player who produces will see the field and that's where the "blocking" occurs.
