Eli is a great quarterback and a good teammate. Marino was known as a sleazebag and a jerk. I don't think Marino made his teammates better. Marino never would have given Cruz a chance. Eli got Steve Smith paid and super Mario. I feel like Eli made a very normal receiving corp look elite. He's just got the intangible get it done demeanor. Think about that Tyree play in 2007. Eli breaks free from a sure sack. He doesn't do that every week, but when they really need him to he can.

Eli has beaten Tom Brady twice...Furthermore Tom Brady hasn't won a SB in 7years! Super Bowls matter. They aren't the only thing but they are the biggest thing. The QB position has more control over the success of a team than any other position.

Eli also had quite a bit of luck on his side. The david tyree catch, on that same drive he threw a flat out pick to the pats that was dropped, the manningham catch, the drop by welker not to mention an insane 4 man pass rush.

Sure eli beat tom twice, and tom hasn't won in 7 years, brady still has 3 rings (more than eli) and a hefty amount of passing records and is on pace to get quite a few more. Eli is in question to make the hall of fame, Brady is not.

Behind every great QB is a great team. Big Ben has Troy P. and crew.Simms had Lawrence Taylor. Tom Brady had Richard Seymour, Wilfork, Ty Law, etc. Terry Bradshaw had great Ds. Troy Aikmen played with guys like Deion Sanders. It's very rare for a team to win it all without some sort of D. Indy comes to mind but even they had a couple All Pros that season.

I'm just arguing that you can't discount what Eli did by pointing at his D. It's not like he plays for the 2000 Ravens. Strahan is the only lock to go to the HOF.

We took a risk drafting Cam, and unless something strange happens, hes going to be a great reward. Cam will be a top 3 QB in the league eventually. Gotta work more on passing and knowing when to slide, etc..and he wont be stopped.
