Coming Down To Coples Or Kuechly

Did someone seriously call Hardy a great DE? He is a liability against the run and okay against the pass

I have thought the same thing but honestly our DEs switch sides depending on whether we are using an under or over front and going weak or strong side so it is hard to say that he is better or worse against the run. He is not as good against the pass but it took Johnson almost 3 or 4 years to really excel. I wouldn't write him off yet.

I like how people poo on Poe for being a workout warrior then endorse Kuechly.

I like how people say Poe never did anything in college, but not the pile jumper from a basketball conference.

Luke produced at a high level and played great football in an average conference.

Poe was nothing special in a joke conference.

Still a notable difference when talking about what they did as football players in college.

listen if you're going to bring college production in to it you need go to a team in a conference where it means anything. Whether or not ACC is better than Memphis is irrelevant, especially for a position like linebacker where they can rack up tackles 5 yards from the line of scrimmage.

add on to that the ILB position is getting phased out of the NFL and whelp

Good thing Memphis managed to get Austin Peay on there schedule this past year.....they would have been 1 win team instead of a 2 win team. Poe also had one sack on the year as Memphis was beat 42-0 by Southern freaking Methodist.

Poe would have warmed the bench in the weak ass ACC

I mean if we can't talk about college production and play....what is there to talk about? Oh yeah, working in shorts and not playing football?

That is pretty ignorant to compare the 2. Poe had little production on the field but had great measurables. Kuechly had great production and had great measurables as well. While the ACC might not be the SEC, they still had 3 teams in the top 25. But tell us all how even though he was voted the best linebacker in college football you know better

Why not do some research on how many tackles for a loss he had this year and compare that to Willis who was such a great SEC backer. Then elaborate on how the MLB which is the 4-3 equivalent of the ILB position in the 3-4 is being phasedd out in the NFL.
