Coming Down To Coples Or Kuechly

You don't think teams who originally are set to

pick in the top 10 research who will go later in case they end up picking at a different spot?

No reason not to put a lot is stock in what Rivera says until proven he does pointless coach talk....

He says DT isn't a huge concern so I am going to stick with my educated assumption he won't draft a guy at 9 he could a comparable guy to MUCH later

None of the DT who came in are late 2nd rounders. Then he brought in 5 DT. Saying DT isn't a option is stuipd at this point. The teams actions don't fit it.

They don't only invite guys for their first pick, they also invite guys who they think will be available near the pick in the second round.

None of the DT who came in for visits except Worthy (which is changing by the day) will be around in the 2nd round.

Carolina isn't going to just bring in the top 9 players and move on. They will prepare for a trade down and if someone falls to go get him.

Rivera says it isn't a glaring need over others....therefore what is an educated reason to take one at 9 if what he says is true?

People said Jimmy Clausen wouldn't be there in the 2nd round......he was though. We clearly didnt check him too well.....others did.

Mock drafts aren't true. Carolina will prepare for drafting at 9 middle and late in the first

Cra it doesn't change the fact that you bring in ALL the top DT wether a trade down or staying at 9. DT is one of the position they are looking at. I didn't say it was the only position they are looking at but DT is a position they are looking at. They didn't bring in all the top LB or WR. I

First post...

What happened to Brandon Thompson from Clemson? I think he's worth a look in the 2nd round.

My stance is regardless of who we pick, if they help our football team in 5 months nobody is going to care who we drafted. If they don't, Hurney will have a bounty on his head.

If Hurney passes on a 6'6'' 290lb DE for Keuchly then he's a moron. Who would you rather have...Brian Cushing or JPP?? Probably not going to go wrong with either but JPP disrupts the offense way more than any linebacker would. You always go DE talent over LB talent. If Hurney passes then Coples better just be a complete lemon by the scout team's evaluation. He's basically the only complete 4-3 defensive end in the draft.
