Before The Saints Fan Claim "oh, That Is Said In Every Locker Room"

Yep.

Similar thing happened on my son's soccer team when he was only 6. Our coach was trying to teach the kids how to slide tackle and take out another kid's ankle (while making it look like they were going for the ball). Parent's were pissed and confronted him. he made excuses why it was OK and told us it was his team. Half of the kids left the team that day. Guy was a total POS.

That is ridiculous. My son is 12 and plays classic soccer in charlotte and they have expressed rules about not slide tackling. It is still considered a big no no at that level. Teaching a 6 year old to take out another player's ankle borders on insanity.

Gets off soapbox................

Now back to your regularly scheduled Williams bashing.......................

Of course there are - but they're outliers. It's despicable a the PeeWee level, the high school level, and in the NFL.

The existence of a worthless human being at the peewee level doesn't do much to validate their defense that everyone says it.

i've been coached by guys like that before

bunch of uncle ricos trying to reconstruct their glory days. if only coach would have put them in they'd have won state, "i almost went pro", etc.

Its bad the NFL warned them about bounties a week before the speech against the 49ers. If I was Goodell, I would laugh in the face of the appeals and raise their their suspensions just for trying the appeal.

Exactly. They didn't give a poo about what the league had to say, but now they want to play the victim and cry foul.

But the fact that this happens all the time is why guys like Golic and many players and former players are downplaying the issue. Many of them have heard those kind of talks by coaches all the way through their careers. I am glad the Panthers don't stoop to that level but I have heard some Panther players saying that those kinds of things happen in lots of locker rooms. Just not sanctioned by the team or spoken about so openly.

Goodell knows it and that is why he came down so hard. Not just to punish the Saints but show the other teams not to do the same thing or stop what they are doing right away.

Similar things are said in other lockerrooms. Usually not literal though.

Gregg saying he will pay them however doesn't occur in every lockerroom. People always want to exclude the thing that makes it different and then compare.

And if Golic is right, that just provides more reason for making the penalties stiff enough that it stops.

I love to see hard hits, but hate to see players carted off, no matter who they are. Hopefully, the vast majority of players feel the same way.

I've been in the Panthers locker room many times. I have never heard anything even close to the despicable comments by Gregg Williams. Players get hyped up, players get aggressive, but its never about injuring anyone. Its never about taking cheap shots in he pile after the whistle is blown.

Pathetic.

If that's true that's nice to hear because as I was listening to the audio, I'm think my god I ibet this same stuff is being said in the Panthers locker room and I'm not sure I can support that.

It's the bits about blowing out Crabtree's ACL and Davis' ankles, crap like that, that are disturbing.

People can make all the case they want for attacking the metaphorical "head" and we can't really prove them wrong but the end where he starts detailing specific injuries and telling them to do damage in the pile that are damning. You can't explain those away.

Those are the parts I had problems with.

Saints fans and Drew Brees can go suck it. They are cheaters of the highest order and their Superbowl title should be revoked. What williams did is as bad a thing as you can do in Football and there is no way around it. The bastard should be banned for life.

I for one hope the players that had the highest bounties get together and file suits and that criminal charges come against ALL that participated in this bull poo
