Before The Saints Fan Claim "oh, That Is Said In Every Locker Room"

I've been in the Panthers locker room many times. I have never heard anything even close to the despicable comments by Gregg Williams. Players get hyped up, players get aggressive, but its never about injuring anyone. Its never about taking cheap shots in he pile after the whistle is blown.

Pathetic.

And I am SO fuging sick of that argument anyway. If that were the case, how would that make it right? Anyone that is purposely going out there to injure guys, and put money on top of it, is a dirty bastard. Everyone that was a part of that should be punished heavily. Such bullshit.

It's the bits about blowing out Crabtree's ACL and Davis' ankles, crap like that, that are disturbing.

People can make all the case they want for attacking the metaphorical "head" and we can't really prove them wrong but the end where he starts detailing specific injuries and telling them to do damage in the pile that are damning. You can't explain those away.

For what it is worth I did have a heated dicussion with the head coach at a pee wee game ( I was an assistant) who wanted to put our star player back in when he clearly just had a concussion. I had to get the parent's dad to go down there and tell the guy that his son was going to sit out. Needless to say since he was the head coach, I was no longer welcome and my son left the team that day. But the league was notified and he was "talked with" and not allowed to coach again after that season. So yeah there are ignorant coaches obsessed with winning at any cost in every level of football.

Yep.

Similar thing happened on my son's soccer team when he was only 6. Our coach was trying to teach the kids how to slide tackle and take out another kid's ankle (while making it look like they were going for the ball). Parent's were pissed and confronted him. he made excuses why it was OK and told us it was his team. Half of the kids left the team that day. Guy was a total POS.

I do know that while not sanctioned, there is all kinds of dirty things that go on in the pile all the time. Didn't Kris jenkins talk about guys biting each other, twisting ankles, and elbowing each other while they were down. The issue is he discussed it as an intentional practice which is clearly crossing the line, But lets remember that it does happen all the time and there are lots of dirty players.

there's parents like that as well.

i don't doubt that there are those who are of that ilk in the pee wees, but they are coaching at that level for a reason....they aren't good enough for any other level. still shouldn't be coaching kids.

it's a pathetic mentality to have, but it's not at all rare at any level in any profession.

Of course there are - but they're outliers. It's despicable a the PeeWee level, the high school level, and in the NFL.

The existence of a worthless human being at the peewee level doesn't do much to validate their defense that everyone says it.
