Don't know all the details yet, but this brings up an interesting question.

If this took place in an open locker room, what does it do to the claims of guys like drew brees that they didn't know?

It proves what the rest of us already knew.....that they are all lying pieces of poo.

I think he honestly used "kill the head" as a metaphor... I really didn't think it was blatant that he was trying to knock people out of the game until he said "We need to find out if Crabtree is gonna be a fuggin pre-Madonna or a tough guy once we attack that outside ACL"

That was the part that I was honestly like whoa!!!!

The rest of it honestly sounded like many a pre-game speeches that we got playing High School ball.

I expected it to be a lot worse honestly, but none the less the part about Crabtree was indeed disgusting! There's no place for that in this League...

It's one thing to know about an Injury, and pick at it, test it, but to say that sh!t out loud is just disgusting!

I honestly hope that if there were any chance of Peyton's appeal getting shorter, that this audio clip kills that chance!

I pretty much heard what you did. I totally disagree with targeting a guy's ACL after he has had surgical repair. And the part about the concussion was over the top. But in all honestly if players know a guy has a sore shoulder or was injured earlier they do try and take them out of the game by targeting it again. Not permanently but for that game, yeah. That is why some teams don't like the mandatory weekly injury reports. It may give you opponent info about your weaknesses.

He started using "kill the head" as a metaphor, meaning Gore is the head and if they take him out they win. He then went on to say "Kill Gore's Head" while in the pile after the play. Thats not a metaphor.

Fuggin dirty as hell.

THe question about that is was he talking about hitting him in the head while in the pile or talk poo to him to get in his head. I would think punching the helmet of a player would do more harm to the puncher than the guy wearing the helmet.

The first part of the clip I was like thats not so bad till I heard the last part and I was like WTF... I wonder what they said about Smith and Cam before they played us. Little did they know when little Smith gets angry he turns into the hulk.

Also anyone that says there will not be a bounty on Drew Brees head this year is a fool. It want be team sponsored but teams will be gunning for him and there WRs. Brees would be smart to just not sign the tender and let the saint give the ball to the other team this year.

Why is that the question? There is no metaphorical equivalent to taking out Crabtree's ACL, targeting a player who had a concussion, or Davis' ankles.

There is a slim metaphorical defense to one thing he said (which doesn't really hold water when you consider that he later says to take out his head) but that's far from the total weight of the douchebaggery in this speech.

The stuff about Gore *may* have been metaphorical, there's no way to really know. Given the context and the other stuff he was saying, it would push it more in the direction of literal. Especially considering he was saying similar stuff about Alex Smith AND THEN POINTED TO HIS CHIN. If there was ANY doubt in the mind of the guy he was talking to about whether he ACTUALLY meant to take out his head, HE USED HAND GESTURES TO CLARIFY.

He could be lying or Williams could have been addressing the defense in a separate room. I'd think they separate for pre-game meetings and such.

true but you got to remember that the NFL is trying to limit head injuries and Williams is saying go kill his head metaphorically or not. Also he was talking about kyle Williams concussion problems

The only thing more disgusting than the Saints' and Greg Williams actions are the Saints fans who are defending this mess. If I found out the Panthers did this I'd be extremely disappointed not frothing at the mouth in denial.

    • And we just started playing competitive football. Now look we beat a decent team. We can celebrate winning, it will be ok…
    • It doesn't matter if you give him a new WR1. To do it you have to devoted MORE resources to him. At some point you have to stop or there's nothing left for the defense. Our defense looks like scrubs because that's what we've got because we've spent a shitload on offense. He got a 1st round WR and a shiny new RB in round 2.  Bryce had a couple of good games but we are not competing against the Chiefs or Eagles. They're headed to the playoffs with realistic SB aspirations and we're headed to a top 10 pick. Those teams have competed for an entire season where the Panthers have ummm... They've almost gotten to as many wins as Matt Rhule in a season.  Would you rather have Bryce or Lamar? Because we've spent more on Bryce and to build around him than what it would have cost to trade for Lamar.  This team can't get better when it's having to devote everything to making it possible for our #1 QB god to play average NFL football.  I may end up being wrong and Bryce may become the GOAT. But one thing you won't see me doing is flip flopping on where I stand every couple of weeks because he has good or bad games. I think Bryce is our version of Daniel Jones and I think we're going to fug ourselves pretending he's Pat Mahomes.
