let me throw this in...i know many think differently but I feel much better about Otah than Bell when he is on the field. Combined, that's a lot of nonproductive beef.

At this point I'd take a 4th round pick for Otah, Hurney make it happen. Call up the Eagles.

Comparing Otah and Bell isn't really a worthwhile pursuit.

Otah is a first round top-prospect pick who has injury problems and has thus far failed to live up to expectations. He has talent and he has the hype that came with him after being picked where he was picked. Byron Bell is an UDFA who we knew coming out of the gate would be a project who may or may not ever amount to anything.

You should feel better with Otah on the field - if he's healthy a lot of people would. But what does that really....mean? That's a large if.

I don't advocate trying to move Otah because Otah has more talent, (minimally) more experience, when healthy is the better tackle, has had two years to heal, and frankly he's not worth poo on the open market because he can't stay healthy. But that doesn't mean I trust him to stay healthy long enough to live up to his potential.

The harsh reality is that both Otah and TD might never be able to play another full season of football. Teams know about Otah's injury problems, and they wouldn't make a good trade offer for him imo.

No it was our 2008 2nd and 4th round picks, plus our 2009 1 st round pick so Hurney could take Otah with the Iggles 2008 1st round pick at 19. ;)

otah is cost controlled and dominant when healthy/motivated, which unfortunately are interchangeable.

This is a contract year and I'm confident he'll play like it. Him motivated is better than anything you could get in the 2nd round imho
