We have all the opinons of our draft picks. Just would like to see the letter grades handed out...

My grade: C

Only reason its not an F is because both picks are at least defensive positions we need - but for this price in next years draft? Management already crunching numbers for next year? Wouldnt doubt it, I have faith in this FO...

2008 draft crushes this day 1 draft....yes yes, cuz we saw results, but this draft day just looks like every fan has been speculating - an other 7-9 kinda feel our way through the season.

Don't care about what the players did in college to be honest. That YouTube vid of Martin picking off a pass showed no skill what so ever than a tip drill.

B...only b/c of Brown and he's a DE, where we need help

to be honest, i know basically nothing about who we picked, but i am starting to get excited about Brown if he bulks up

the Martin pick at CB baffled me...i would have thought we went oline or d-tackle there

the franchise kno what they're doing....i hope...

The Brown trade/pick gets an A from me. This guy is going to be great for us. Giving up a 1st next year hurts but he'll probably be better than anyone we would get with that pick anyway.

The Martin pick, I don't necessarily hate it, but it's too early for him. We could have traded down, got an extra pick and still got him. I like him as a player but we should have worked the draft board and gotten better value.

Overall: C

Grade A

Think about it we had no 43rd pick in this draft nor the extra 4th rounder and now we have already picked next year's 1st round pick and we get to play/groom a year in advance!

Why is this pick(and a 4th round pick) worth next years 1st round?

1st off we need help now so getting extra picks this year is important. AS far as this year is concerned it is almost something for nothing. Very important to keep us in Playoff Team Caliber. We have lots of talent but also some holes that need filling.

2nd Brown was a 1st Round Pick on many draft boards so not only was he the best player available but he is a Perfect fit for one of our "Holes" Perfect Symmetry. He idolizes Julius Peppers and tied with Ron Meeks may make Peppers happy to stay in Carolina and motivated to work hard as he could have someone to help draw pressure from him. Playing a more enjoyable trophy hunting kind of Game.

3rd We drafted a 1ST ROUND QUALITY PLAYER IN THE 2ND ROUND! That means we don't have to pay him 1st round money, good for the salary cap. And we get to use him a full year early.

With Value like this, you can't fault the Panthers Pouncing on it!

You know, what Fox and Hurney are doing with this may turn into a bit of a fad as other teams see the value in it. Hopefully not.

Brilliant Move, Considering the opportunity that was waiting there.

Grade A

Yep, we spent this draft on last year and it was worth it. I gave us a B, considering where we had to pick from. Trades can still happen, though.

My Grade A is based on what picks they had when the day started and how they made a lot with wheeling and dealing. Panthers could have kept next years 1 st round pick and had a year where their holes took them off track and the team lost it's chemistry as they couldn't fill them with the picks available. From where the day started, to where they are now and how their future will be 2 or 3 years down the road I think they made the right decision. They are building a solid core.

If we were giving up a first rounder, for someone at number 43 in the second round, makes me wonder: a) why did the guy drop, given the desperate need most teams have for DL line help; B) if we were going trade a #1 pick, why not go for the best DL available?

Second round, I don't know; but, this guy has had 2 shoulder surgeries, and I think hand surgery, he is 24 years old, and another, thomas davis, in the sense that maybe he's a corner, maybe he's a safety. Just as Davis, maybe he's a safety, and maybe he's a linebacker...we see how well that worked...took Davis 3 years to become consistently productive.

Next year's draft, per the 'experts' is suppose to be better than this one.

If this team craps out this year, that pick might be worth something.

At some point, this franchise must face the fact that it needs a decent QB. All the team's in our division understand that, we don't.

I give them a C because while Everette Brown was a solid pick, I think they could have gotten similar value at 59 without having to trade away their 1st rounder next year. This year's draft is a lot like 2005...not going to be very good. I hope Brown surprises.
