Is Stewart Worth A 2Nd Round Pick?

Ahahhhhahhaaaahahhahha. Yes that's exactly what we should do.

Pay DWill like a top 5 back only to use him as a backup. Then tag another RB essentially paying him like a top five back. All the while having Tolbert sitting on the sidelines, and us still not having enough money to bring in a decent DE or DT.

This is a PSA:

You do not need a top tier RB's to win in today's NFL, and you certainly don't need two.

I was referring to Denver numb nuts.Read the article

I think it's funny that teams will trade their entire draft to trade up a few spots to get a top player, like a running back for example, but wouldn't even consider trading a 2nd for a proven NFL player.

Like it really makes no sense logically. You could be drafting a total bust for 3 times the price of a proven player.

I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing that out.

How is Stewart's career half way over when he splits time with Williams?

You act like our runningbacks are being abused.

Stewart and even Williams don't have the mileage on them that many other backs do who were drafted the same year as them.

Stewart has already played 4 seasons. 8 years would be a good run for a NFL RB playing at a high level....

People need to quit with this defense of splitting carries as the answer to everything.

A lot of these guys have bodies that will let them play till they are 34 due to their body being "in-shape". Ricky Williams just retired at the age of 34, so if we apply this concept to Williams and Stewart than Williams has six more years and Stewart has 9 more years.

Most people don't realize that both of them are still fairly young. Especially Stewart.

So you are going to treat an exception to the norm as the norm?

Stewart ain't playing 9 more years in the NFL at a high level....silly talk

if someone offered a first rounder we'd be foolish not to take it, but if I'm hurney I hesitate to separate with a proven playmaker on what is gearing up to be one of the most creative, playmaking offenses in the league.

Stewart doesn't make it creative, Smith doesn't, Williams doesn't, Olsen doesn't.

Cam Newton does. The way to help Cam the most is to build a top D. Defensive talent

BTW, Fox suddenly has nothing to do with Denver's offensive plans...that is 100% the Peyton Manning/Elway show from the playbook through personnel decisions. Fox became a glorified DC once Peyton came to town.

yep.

Do some research dude, its not age that slows backs down its the continued beating they take, there was an article not to far back showing solid evidence of this, back slow down at 30 if they have over 1,600 carries which is why backs that were not used as much early in there careers can play longer and be productive for example Thomas Jones and Tiki Barber were productive well into there 30's.
