So now we like Cox? I thought it was Poe before ?

I never put might vote behind Poe.

Cox had just as good Combine as Poe. Has better Game tape and college production then Poe. Played in the best league (SEC) not where ever Memphis plays Conference USA I think.

After our boners from seeing those combine numbers went soft, everyone realized that Poe is most likely a fraud.

No solid game tape playing in the C-USA? No, that's not a typo. That's a real conference.

All this is your OPINION. I think Cox is a surefire talent that is my OPINION. We didn't just sign Pollack we also have Hangman, Zack Brown (coming off IR) , Gary Williams, and Byron Bell. We already have 5-6 guys going after 2 position. Not to mention you can get late round guards and still get the same impact.

Carl Nicks (4th round)

Jari Evans (5th round)

Both All Pro.

Just saying.

Hangman is not starting quality, he's just not big enough. Great rotational player though. I thought we had been using Bell as a tackle? Dont know much about Williams or Brown. Yes you can definitely get great guards in late rounds and this is a deep draft class for the position, but the fact that Decastro is rated so significantly higher than the rest speaks volumes of his expectations in the NFL.

For the record, I wasn't referring to my opinion, I was referring to the opinion of most scouts and analysts. I'm sure you can evaluate NFL interior linemen better them, I know I can't. Like it or not, Cox is considered to be somewhat of a project by many while Decastro is considered to essentially be playing with the footwork and instincts of a seasoned pro. Not only that but I'm not 100% sold DT is that glaring of a hole on the defense with our rookies now one year seasoned, Ron Edwards returning and what we saw out of Shirley and Kearse.

Just so you know, when you CAPITALIZE particular words in a post to make an EMPHASIS, it makes you sound like a 13 year old girl texting your parents.

Just saying.

Edit: Just to clarify I would not have any problems with our pick being Cox. Kid does have potential and I trust this coaching staff.

I stop reading when you said "Hangman wasn't starting quality". Everything after holds no weight and is pretty much bull poo because you lost all credibility with that statment.

Dear God, I thought I was the only person that caught that. "Hangman isn't starting quality" wtf does that even mean? He might be the second best Offensive Lineman we have now, behind Kalil. Gross is still good, but his age has finally caught up with him. And who was it that secured the Center position when Kalil was hurt last season? Hangartner.

Anyone that says Hangartner is not starting quality either a) has never watched a Panthers' game or B) has never watched football. period. I'm inclined to say it's the latter.

If thats the case then why did we let him walk when we knew wharton cost way too much and his play was declining significantly? He then goes and gets cut by the Bills, who, by the way, have a far below average offensive line. Yea hangman is great to have around because he fills in nicely anywhere on the interior line when you need a quick solution. Nobody seems to want to have him as a starter.

If we didn't want him as a starter, why did we let Wharton walk this time, and keep Hangartner?

Also, the Bills didn't release him because he was bad, they released him because he was a cap causality.

Trust me, Hangartner is a fantastic offensive lineman, and is better than any other option we have on the team right now at the Guard position.

I never got a boner from his performance. Never found him attractive in the 1st to begin with. Now in the second.....

We didn't let Wharton walk, we flat out cut his ass for not producing and costing 7 million (not sure on that value). I don't see how hangman could have been a cap casualty when he was signed for 10mil over 4 years. Any way you slice those numbers up they aren't exactly crippling, especially when the Bills had some of the highest amount of available cap room in the NFL (just look at their signings this year). My entire family is from Buffalo and they wish they kept hangman. Wanna know why? So they would have had a BACKUP when Wood went down for the season.

Without a doubt hangman is the best guard we have on this team, won't disagree with you there. I'd say that just shows why an upgrade is needed.
