Top 3 Players For #9 Pick

I'm a little surprised at how popular a LB and WR are with the board. I figured CB, DT, DE would be what you guys would be harping on. I think people are changing their minds as much as I am LOL.

If we drafted soley by position of need we would be taking players that aren't worth a top 10 pick. BPA is the name of the game and also Hurney's best friend. We have a top 10 pick, we might as well use it like one.

If we went by your method:

If we want a CB, we would take Dre Kirkpatrick at #9. <--- late first rounder, might as well see what's there in the 2nd

If we want a DE, we would take Coples at #9. <--- LOL

If we want a DT, we would take Cox at #9. <--- this one's good, we can wait and see if Worthy/Still is in the 2nd tho

If we're gonna reach, we might as well trade down for a 7th rounder and a reacharound

with the rookie cap who cares if you reach for a position. if its your guy just take him.

Decastro even after all the Oline Pick-ups this offseason?

He's the only surefire stud left in the draft at our pick. Outside of Kuechly everyone else we go after is somewhat of a project or has character concerns. He's a slight reach but could easily go in the 11-13 range. He fits in perfectly with our offense (heavily reliant on guard pulls for options/misdirection, lots of screen plays, and of course when cam takes off) due to his mobility, solid footwork, and instincts.

Even though we picked up Pollack, Decastro would be a massive, immediate upgrade to our line. We go from having a pretty good line with 2 pro bowlers (fyi, at this moment if kalil or gross goes down we are in serious trouble) on it to having one of the more dominant lines in the NFL. Also look at what Brees accomplished with having an utterly nasty set of guards. Not just statistically, when watching Saints games Brees had all the room and time in the world to step up,

All this is your OPINION. I think Cox is a surefire talent that is my OPINION. We didn't just sign Pollack we also have Hangman, Zack Brown (coming off IR) , Gary Williams, and Byron Bell. We already have 5-6 guys going after 2 position. Not to mention you can get late round guards and still get the same impact.

Carl Nicks (4th round)

Jari Evans (5th round)

Both All Pro.

Just saying.
