Justin Blackmon To Visit Panthers

Yeah, it seems like people would be tired of teams teeing off on Smitty. News flash: Smitty gained the panther's share of his yards the first 8 games. Why do you think that is? I believe a good part of it has to do with the fact that teams started adjusting, and figured out how to go "business as usual" defensing our much beloved WR.

For all you guys that don't want Blackmon at the expense of a defensive player who may just turn out to be slightly above average (if that), I got news for you: If we stay at number 9, and Blackmon is still there at number 9, then Blackmon will be a Carolina Panther.

We also won more game later in the season right?

I'm still looking for someone to come up with a reason (other then espn said so) that Blackmon beats out Lafell and a Healthy Gettis?

Both are bigger 1 is faster and they both have exp. and know the playbook.

Gettis ran 4.47 without pads which is slower than Blackmon. Just saying.

Not to belabor the point, because it has been debated ad nauseam, but neither LaFell or Gettis had the resume coming out of college that Blackmon does. Yeah, they've shown some good talent (particularly Lafell), but neither have been a stand-out. Now of course they had Jimmy the first year, but Lafell had Cam frickin' Newton throwing to him last year, and only made it to the WR2 spot (some may say "in name only") late in the season, eclipsing Legs None, err Naane. This makes me believe he may be better suited in a WR3 role. Gettis may not be that different from Lafell, a solid WR2/3, but you even alluded to it yourself: "A healthy Gettis"...Looking at Blackmon's work not only last season, but the season before, dude is pretty much going to be a solid and productive NFL WR who just may have the skills to be outstanding, unlike what we've seen from any WR not named Smitty on our WR corps.
