Justin Blackmon To Visit Panthers

First, take the competition out of it. That is not under the control of Blackmon and even when he faced a good defense in Stanford he put up close to 200 yards.

I have said this in this thread but, first Blackmon has better hands than Jones. This is something that should be high on the list for a receiver. Their number one objective as a WR is to catch the ball. Jones was known for his drops and Blackmon is sure handed. You throw anything at him and he'll catch it, the easy ones and the tough ones. Secondly, he runs crisper routes. Running better routes puts him at an advantage giving him a separation on his opponents. Even though Blackmon doesn't have blazing speed, he is still not someone I'd call slow. It just might take him longer to get to his top end speed. Getting open and catching the ball, to put in simply, are qualities you desire from a WR. Both of which he does better than Jones.

There are other qualities that I like in him but I won't go as far as to say he is better than Julio, possibly even. First, he is an elusive WR considering he ins't the fastest. He puts him self in good position to set himself up for yards after the catch because of his precise route running. He can also make you miss as a tackler with his physicality and maneuvers. Also, he is an underrated blocker.

You say Jones is undoubtedly better, but the certainly can't be the case.

Hands can be worked on. Size and speed can't.

Good luck with that degree, Chucky. I am sure your impressive knowledge and constructive attitude will make you a hot commodity in the fast food industry. Unless you were referring to middle school graduation.

You are about to be banned, by the way. When scholars run out of points, most don't refer to name-calling. You must be a prodigy. (Dictionary.com, for your convenience)

We won more games cause we played shitty teams. The only good team we beat was Houston and they were missing their starting QB and DC.

The same team that beat the Falcons a week before and won a playoff game.

I say again we were the 5th ranked offense most of the year. IF youi score 30 points in the 1st half. You shouldn't have to score 30 more points in the 2nd half. If you have atleast a avg. defense we win alot of these games.

Why you people want to out score teams instead of being able to stop them. Is Crazy to me.

All teams like size and speed not just the raiders. Those are things you can't teach.

If you have 1 wr 5'11 with good production and a 6'4 wr with the same production and skill sets. You go with the 6'4 player all day and twice on sunday.

Everybody knows this even Madden allstars.

Quit with the madden crap dude.

How many of those big WR are in the league?

Only Larry, Calvin, and Andre are doing anything. The rest are at best third WR.

Like I said before, this new trend of the tall and fast WR, only been going around recently. And it's even harder to find a tall and fast WR, and thats who i listed above. Usually you will find a tall WR with average speed only.

How many tall WR can you count that have made or is a future hall of famer? Not many.

So going back to last night, would you take Hill before Blackmon? Hes way much taller and faster than Blackmon. And college productions doesn't always translate to the NFL right? So take him.

Anyway, that's ur opinion koolkate. Obviously I have a different views on things. I'd be happy with any player.

I don't see how a panther fan can watch last season and not want a better defense. If we have a avg. top 20 defense last year we're in the playoffs.

I see no way Blackmon falls to #9. If he doesn't go to Cleveland at #4, there's no WAY he makes it past #6 with St. Louis. They wouldn't have been so comfortable letting Brandon Lloyd go and trading down if they didn't think he'd be there. Sam Bradford needs weapons. And if he doesn't go to St. Louis for some reason, Jacksonville would be thrilled to grab him after the terrible year their pathetic receivers had.

I think Clairborne has a much better chance of falling to #9 than Blackmon.

True but that's not always how it works. Can't just go off upside and ability to get better. That's why I think Blackmon is a better prospect than Julio Jones coming out of college.

RK that is pretty much how it works. That is why Brockers is rated a better DT then Stills who had better production. The word is potenial.
