Best draft lols...

What are yours?

Mine:

- The Raiders picking that safety who I couldn't even find in my draft mags.

-Jerry Jones' presser after the draft which made no sense, and even better the shots of their "war room" with Wadie poo just standing around while some dude was on the phone.

-The funny lens shots of the crew at NFLTA. They had Gruden make his Chucky face while they blew his head up to epic proportions and the crew called him Beavis. Hehe.

-Scott Hanson telling Gruden after the Bucs picked Freeman, "I guess even though you aren't there anymore they still stockpile QBs". lulz.

I didn't watch NFLN's broadcast today, but I wish I would have. ESPN sucks more everyday. I'll be watching NFLN tomorrow.

BTW, to add to your LOL Fireball... check this video from the Raiders' website: Click on the video "Coach Cable Discusses Mitchell"

http://www.raiders.com/home/

Sounds like the Raiders scripted that interview with their own interns... lol. They said they were scared he was going to be gone before they picked him... too bad no one knew who he was. He then goes on to compare him to Ronnie Lott and Jack Tatum. good one Al Davis!

Yep, Jerry Jones trying to explain he was smarter than everyone else was a classic.

The Raiders added Ohio University safety Michael Mitchell with a second-round pick they acquired from the New England Patriots, along with two second-day picks, in exchange for their own second-round pick.

"When you see some highlights of this guy, you're going to see a guy that has that Ronnie Lott, that Jack Tatum mentality," Cable said. "He literally

knocks people out. It allows you know to get back to Raider style of football, which is really the reason I wanted this guy so bad."

Mitchell, 6-foot and 220 pounds, said he has a penchant for getting people's attention on the football field.

"My dad and I would watch old films of Jack Tatum and Ronnie Lott, and he'd say, 'That's how you play football,'" Mitchell said in a conference call. "So, from a young age, I knew it was about hitting and being physical. I definitely model myself after those two individuals. I like to impose myself on other people."

Mitchell prefers to knock out opposing players. The Raiders plain knocked it out of the park Saturday, based on their expectations coming in, Cable said.

"We got both of the guys that we targeted," Cable said

awesome. that's the only word to describe this.

Josh Freeman says the Bucs told him their signing of Byron Leftwich before the draft was a "smokescreen."

"They told me it was a smokescreen, everybody would think they didn’t want a QB," Freeman said. "They said they were ready to trade up. It worked out great." The Bucs didn't guarantee any part of Leftwich's contract and can cut him with no cap hit. Leftwich may not even want to be in Tampa anymore.

    • I mean, it was pretty funny that they did that.. Then we all learned that Tepper cannot take a joke (or people wearing hats).  I fully support people trolling billionaires.

    • I've been very critical of the Tepper's. But. If they are actually learning and evolving then great. I will give them credit for it. My issue is though I'm just not seeing any wholesale changes. Same draft scouting staff. Hired the worst GM in franchise history's righthand man. Our first round pick last year Xavier Legette was handpicked and publicly endorsed by Bryce Young's father. Our 2nd round pick was an absolute vintage classic Panthers pick. From there largely meh. Then we have the situation of Evero sticking around again after being forced on our first year head coach last year. To me the Tepper's are still behind the scenes pulling strings until proven otherwise.
