Need Your Help Huddle

Recommended Posts

I was recently asked to create a submission to land a job with a major media outlet.

Here is my assignment:

Headline: Carolina Panthers Mock Draft: 7 Offensive Players the Franchise Must Target

Mission Statement: Take an in-depth look at the options who are likely to be to available with each of the Panthers' selections in the April's NFL Draft. Pinpoint seven offensive players who the franchise absolutely must target. Be realistic with your picks, but don't be afraid to be bold. As with all stories you write for B/R, back up your thoughts with credible evidence from trusted sites and sources.

**Now I can think of a few myself. But I don't know better than you guys. You draft guru's out there, who needs to be in my article? When it gets published (and especially if I land the gig) I'll post the article here.

Thanks for your help. This should be fun, more fun than me combing through all the threads in the draft forum. Give me 7 guys on your wishlist on the offensive side of the ball.

Wr Michael Floyd (1st rounder)

Wr Rueben Randle (2nd/3rd rounder)

if you look at some highlights of these guys they are great route runners with big bodies. I'll let you look at the tape, because thats the most important aspect in drafting a player, 40 yard dashes and bench presses dont mean squat.

If you don't even know seven offensive players we should target, why should you even land a job with a media outlet?

I know seven players we should target in my mind. Just thought it would be cool to get thoughts of everyone so that it's not just me.

For instance, I really want us to take a late round flier on Ryan Broyles. Most people don't feel that way.

Ok. My bad.

Wel those morons are stupid. I been saying along we should target Broyles. I believed he broke the NCAA record for most receptions if I'm not mistaken. I know he had injuries which he may fall and I think he'd be great in the fourth. Some experts even said he's not just a slot WR. That he can def play the flank etc. And also known for his returning abilities. Aot of people and myself want Adams but I wouldn't be surprise at all if he went in the third. Broyles should be there in the fourth. If he could overcome his injuries, Broyles will be a steal. No doubt.

No 3rd rounder but I feel like Randle needs to be in here.

Just write your honest opinion without sounding like a complete moron.

Look at our picks closely. We have 7 picks.

1

2

4

5

6b

7

Look at all the Offensive players that could be in the rounds. Talk about the needs that this team has. Like for example. WR, many debate that it's a very huge need. If there's a player in the offense that plays special teams as well, for example Joe Adams. Talk about how much value he would bring to the team with his skills at the Return position and the possibility of him being a #2-3 wide out. He has the talent for that.

This team has several needs on the offensive side of the ball. WR, TE, G, OT, etc etc.

Michael Floyd, Stephen Hill, Coby Fleener, Rueben Randle, Joe Adams, Andrew Datko, Senio Kelemete, Devon Wyllie, and so on and so forth. Do research on them obviously. Give your opinion on why the Panthers should take them or whoever.

Most importantly have fun with it man. Don't stress out writing this stuff. Also, Proof read your poo.. Always proof read it.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
