I don't want any pick because it is the safest pick. I want Rivera and company to pick the highest rated player in their board when our pick comes up...no matter who that player is.

Not with 4-3 DE CJ making 72million, and 4-3 LB (Beason and Anderson) also getting paid. We might do some hybrid stuff but we won't be going 3-4 any time soon.

I've been saying it for a while, Kuechly will be the very best defensive player on the board when we pick. The only reason he is not regarded as one of the elite prospects is because of the downplayed attitudes toward MLB in the NFL lately. Yes we need DTs in front of the LBs but reaching for a lineman when we can take the BPA would be a mistake. There will be D-line help available in round 2 of better value than pick 9 in round 1.

Mark it down. No matter where Kuechly goes, he is going to be a special player. He's just that good. Top 3 MLB in the NFL in his rookie year.

So you want a guy that can help on our Sub package defense then a guy who can help our BASE and Sub package defense?

Lack of action? We"ve signed 2 Lb and tender 2 before FA started. We have plenty of bodies at DT no real impact player at that position. Cox givs you flexability at so many position on the dline.

Are you going to tell me that any of the linebackers we picked up so far are starter material. Plus you are wrong about no impact players at DT. Edwards will be an impact player and Shirley was very good in limited action. He had 2 1/2 sacks in 4 games. Neblett had 23 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks as well.

Cox will likely not make a huge impact this year at all. How many first year DTs do? Linebacker have a much better chance to do well right off the bat versus DTs. Look at Sedrick Ellis for the Saints and McCoy for the Saints. Both considered impact players who have struggled for the most part.

DT(productive, good tape)= still a high bust rate. Plus we picked 2 last year. They were put into a bad situation. Give them some time.

LB(with like 10 awards)= safer pick.

Obviously, this is just my opinion. Means nothing.

Hurney working that Magic again eh? I don't believe this is a smokescreen at all. Or is it? Hmmmmm. Maybe Seattle or some other team will bite and offer a trade. Getting Picks isn't a bad thing. Either way he would be a great addition.

Averaging 16 tackles a game in Division 1 football regardless of it being the ACC, is kicking some serious ass.

You said lack of action at that position. Signing or tendering 4LB really goes against that statment.
