Yeah your right, Cam definitely wasnt considered a reach of a perceived need by "experts" at the time.....

I am not talking about who the so called experts say is BPA. I am talking about a team who takes the highest rated player on their own board. I truly believe the Panthers had Cam as the top guy on their board...not just taking him because they needed a QB.

If the Panthers have Cox as their highest rated guy at no 9, I hope they grab him. If they have Kuechly rated tops, I hope they take him.

I hope they don't pay any attention to what the so called experts say.

Exactly. He played olb as a freshman and was 2nd in the country in tackles....and was all conference. The moved him inside due to team needs. He showed the athletic ability on the field and then reinforced it at the combine with an outstanding 40 times and other drills .

Guy can play all three lb positions.

Between Davis and Beason, one of the two will not be their old self.

You are crazy if u think the highest paid MLB in the league is only gonna play 2 downs.

The highest paid middle linebacker in the league sat out almost all of last year on IR. If he isn't 100% he surely can become a 2 down linebacker until he recovers 100%. Will he sit out day 1?? I doubt it unless he is really bad right off the bat. Plus if Davis blows a knee again, Beason will play if only at 70% of capacity. Why might Beason end up outside if we pick up Kuechly, If his mobility and explosiveness are compromised, it will be easier to play a zone instead of having to roam from sideline to sideline.

I think there is a better argument for Ingram from South Carolina than Cox. Due to the simple fact he can play anywhere on the line at any given time. Only me?? Help!?!?

I think Ingram fits more into a 3-4 OLB/DE Scheme than our 4-3 DE, due to his size.

Are you serious? I like Ingram but he is a 3-4 olb. He can't be a every down DE or DT like Cox can.

The two lb's we signed are back-ups and are here for nothing more than special teams. They are not starting quality players.

I can say that we have 7 DT's in the roster and it would be just as relevant as your argument.

Not with 4-3 DE CJ making 72million, and 4-3 LB (Beason and Anderson) also getting paid. We might do some hybrid stuff but we won't be going 3-4 any time soon.
