Panthers Apparently "love" Luke Kuechly

Kluechy is undoubtedly athletic enough to play outside. Get that white glare out of your eyes people.

Exactly. He played olb as a freshman and was 2nd in the country in tackles....and was all conference. The moved him inside due to team needs. He showed the athletic ability on the field and then reinforced it at the combine with an outstanding 40 times and other drills .

Guy can play all three lb positions.

Between Davis and Beason, one of the two will not be their old self.

What im trying to figure out is if we draft Kuechly who comes off the field on third downs? We are paying Beason and Anderson too much money to only play two downs and we run a lot of nickel and dime anyway, especially against pass heavy offenses. being deep at LB is not gonna help us overall if none of them can pressure the qb which they cant. If they draft him it would be interesting to know what the philosophy to success will be on defense.

Lets hope Davis is playing any downs and frankly Beason is likely to be coming off the field on third down. Remember what happened to DeMeco Ryans after achilles surgery in 2010, he went from being a probowler to a 2 down LB who they traded to Philly for a 4th rounder. Sure the scheme was blamed but he seemed to be the only one affected. He should be better in Philly but it will probably next year before he regains his form which is what I expect with Beason. A 2 year recovery.

Yea the DL could use help but Ron Edwards is coming back, that helps tremendously. We could use an upgrade for Martin at safety, and a number 2 corner. In my opinion the secondary is the biggest need. We threw two rookies into the shark tank last year. Rotation at that position helps. All Im sayin is if kuechly is the pick, this board shouldn't explode like it probably will.

Edwards is 32 year old 2 down DT.

We signed a guy already who will push or take martin's job.

Cb is deep in this draft we can get a starter in the 2nd round.

Cox offers rotation at every spot on the Dline.

Cox should be the pick.

Beason doesn't come off the field, that guy is a beast. I'd say it would be him an Anderson to stay on 3rd downs. I think there gonna have a cautious approach with TD this year. Slowly bring him back, que kuechly. But I'm not coach Ron, there gonna draft whoever they feel helps the team out most.

I'm going Beason, Kuechly. But i'm going solely based off what you guys are telling me. Anderson sucks in coverage anyways.

Can Kuechly come and start day 1?? He started his freshman year and was second in tackles in the nation. So if a guy can step into college and start day 1 from high school, he can do the same thing going to the NFL. Afterall Patrick Willis did it going from college to the pros after not playing at all until his sophomore year. In fact Kuechly put up better numbers in 3 years than Willis did in 4 years.

You are crazy if u think the highest paid MLB in the league is only gonna play 2 downs.

He very well may if he is not back to form. You seem to forget that he is rehabbing from a VERY serious injury....one where it typically takes several years to get back close to form, if ever.
