Panthers Apparently "love" Luke Kuechly

then what did Kuechly do...one of his biggest strengths is defending the pass. He certainly wasnt making plays behind the line of scrimmage.

He was known for his ability to stuff the run do to his poor play of defensive tackles in front of him and he actually led Boston College in tackle's for a loss his Freshman and Senior year while finishing second in tackle's for a loss his Junior year. However, this may be the result of poor defensive tackle play in front of him.

I am still watching film on him to try and get a 100% read on him.

Drafting Luke makes as much sense as drafting Trent Richardson.

Every says we should plan for them to get injured. What the hell happens if they do not get injured? If Beason is full strength do we move him to WLB? Can a rookie dictate moving a Pro Bowl LB?

Seriously? We are stacked at RB. We are not stacked at LB.

Davis is done. Beason was an All Pro LB who likely will never be the same....and if he is it will likely take a couple years to get back there.

Luke can play multiple spots. He can see the field unlike with our RBs who will struggle to get reps they deserve.... And whatever they do get wont be enough.

Best way to help Cam is to get him a D. LB is now a need just like every spot on D practcally BPA on D is the way to go.

I was continuing to notice in video's of Kuechly how well he reads and reacts and how it almost looks like he enters the backfield untouched on some of his plays that he stops for a loss. I decided to look at BC's defensive tackles and they are incredibly small and not really that good either. None of the defensive tackles on the roster demand a double team which intrigued me because that means Kuechly is usually beating a guard when he shoots the game to make the tackle.

If the Panthers add Kuechly and then add a defensive tackle in round two whose size advantage will command a double team, I think Kuechly could turn into a hell of a pass rusher based on his overall ability to get behind the line of scrimmage to stop the run. If he can just incorporate his techniques that he uses when stuffing the run in the backfield to rushing the passer than I don't think it's a far cry at all to believe that Kuechly can become a dominate pass rusher.

I was under the impression the dude played OLB for an entire year. He's blue chip depth/insurance, but if he does not start at #9 hes not worth it. If we traded the Eagles #9, for their first and Casey Matthews I'd be happy.

Why wouldn't he start? He is better than Anderson, we have no WLB and he realistically could be better than Beason after a couple games under his belt?

I do not know in the NFL having played MLB if hes automatically better than Anderson based on his College Resume, however its not crazy.
