Panthers Apparently "love" Luke Kuechly

Charles Johnson, Gamble, etc aren't coming off major injuries. So it is silly to act as if our LB corp shouldnt be viewed differently

If the FO was so F'n worried then why not sign 1 starter quality LB instead of all these band aids. They didn't even try to sign Connor's back. poo Omar Gaither is still out there and this is his home.

I know all of you is scared but I've seen and talk to Jon he will be ready for the season. Now I don't have faith in TD but Jon is killing his rehab.

Again that's your fuging opinion when you have facts to backed that up like Links then we can talk?

So much faith in a 4th round guy because some experts said he would be a 1st round pick if he wasn't a dumb ass.

Who is this fourth rounder that some say would be a first rounder if he wasn't dumb?

Secondly here is your info...

Trumaine Johnson: Negatives -- Although great in press coverage, he has questionable deep speed and quicker wide receivers give him problems... Played little zone in college, will be a test for him at the next level... Awareness needs to improve when he turns his head away from the ball... Shows his hand on blitz packages, doesn't disguise his coverage well... Ducks his head on tackles and needs to wrap up, shoulder tackles too much... Shies away from contact at times... When blitzing or filling in run support, is prone to taking himself out of the play by running up field... Doesn't fight hard enough to get off blocks... His level of competition will be questioned... Missed nine games combined in his first two seasons, mostly due to injuries but one game due to an alleged off the field incident that involved a fight at a campus fraternity house.

Jayron Hosley: Negatives

--

Lacks elite measurements in height and weight

... Above average top end speed yet struggles to recover once he gets beat by receivers...

Like many smaller corners, he struggles against bigger receivers in press coverage

... Can be overaggressive at times and receivers will set him up for that with double moves... Concussion and hamstring injuries this season may scare teams away from drafting him early... Likely needs a minimum of two years to develop in a pro system before becoming a full time starter... His limitations inhibit his upside at the pro level, likely never a true number one corner... Not a great tackler in any sense of the word, lacks strength to bring down bigger players once they are wrapped up... Has a tendency to throw his body rather than wrapping up for a tackle.

Name me how many team have a great LB core but a sorry Dline. And I'll name great Dline with sorry LB groups.

I'll start

Superbowl Champion NY Giants

your turn

Wrong again. Boley is not sorry. He had 93 tackles in only 13 starts. Williams had 78 tackles in 2 starts and 16 games of rotational work. Kiwanuka who is a LB/DE also had 84 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The rest of the guys like Greg Jones started 5 games and played in 16 games while others filled in. They had some injuries like we did during the season and struggled somewhat. They limped into the playoffs at 9-7. Then in the playoffs things got much better and the defense gelled.

But they were not sorry and they used their DEs and LBs somewhat interchangeably.

We have tried to tell you for pages. They are going to draft at least 2 linebackers in this draft. Kuechly in the first and someone else in the 4th most likely. They hope that Beason comes back at least to 80% and hope Davis can come back but are hedging thier bets.

Jon will do his best to come back strong but davis said he would be ready last year as well. The problem isn't the brain wanting it but the achilles responding. Name me one player who came back from Achilles surgery and was 100% the next season. Unfortunately the research shows linebackers are the most affected. Rehabbing is not the same as being able to take hits and impacts on your ankle. You can't simulate the stress and strain until you begin practice.
